Location is great and the staff was very accommodating. The rooftop bar is very nice - although the bar itself was closed the first two nights we were there. The courtyard is small, dark and uninviting. We had an inside room with a small window to the courtyard that's so high up that I could barely see anything. We enjoyed nices breakfasts at the nearby Hotel El Convento.

The staf was good. The room was good. There were a couple of issues. The fire alarm went off twice, once at 6:00 p.m. then again at 3:00 a.m.The hotel has no parking. You have to try and find parking. Good luck with that. The room and hotel was very clean.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Decanter Hotel. It was very close to everything in Old San Juan, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to help us feel right at home and made great recommendations for things for us to do and restaurants to eat at during the holidays. The hotel was a traditional feeling hotel. Our room was big and had a wonderful balcony overlooking the street. It was a great space! We definitely recommend the Decanter for a wonderful stay when staying in Old San Juan.

The hotel is beautiful! The room was spotless. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect in the middle of old San Juan. It allowed us to walk around easily to enjoy the whole city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to add time and switch rooms as a result. The housekeeping staff coordinated with us to make sure we could just move from one room to the next without waiting. I would stay here again without question.
