Great stay, would recommend.

The place was very clean, it had great A/C, hot water, a very powerful fridge and the staff was very friendly. The main complaint I had is that there are birds that attack the window starting around 5 am, which makes it hard to sleep as it's very disturbing and it would be great if they had an iron on premise. I would definitely stay at the Black Pearl Inn again.

Awesome place, close to everything. Short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shopping, and an awesome ocean and sunset view from the lanai. Henry, the owner, is a great guy, and also owns The Iguana Bar, a mere 500 steps away, which is right on the beach and where you go for your included breakfast. Overall, I would say a great place that I would definitely stay at again.

This is a very convenient place to stay for dining and the beach! Our room at the end of the building closest to the beach has an unbelievable view that we loved! The downside of the view is that the music from town can be very intrusive. Just bring earplugs and enjoy! The description of the hotel says they have a bar and breakfast. There is no bar and the breakfast is offsite. It’s only a block or so away so not too much of a hardship but you won’t be having breakfast in bed. We had to change our reservation by a day and while I had difficulty with Hotels.com, this property worked with us which was GREATLY appreciated! Really lovely and convenient place to stay!

Fantastic experience. Large, clean room, nice bedding, comfy mattress, fridge, roomy shower, A/C. Grounds were meticulously maintained as was the pool which was a refreshing way to end each day with beautiful views of the beach. Perfectly situated close to town and beach, but with enough distance for a peaceful and quiet night. Best place we stayed and Best breakfast out of 5 hotels across Nicaragua.

Great place, nice surroundings, literally few minutes walk to the beach. Henry, the owner, is definitely doing everything to make the place friendly and relaxing. We enjoyed the pool and free "all day" breakfast at Iguana bar. The only not exactly positive thing to mention was loud music from a restaurant on the beach (they have live music on weekends), but I think you would hear it in the radius of at least half a mile, so no matter what hotel you choose, weekend nights are not going to be quiet in San Juan del Sur.

Black Pearl is run by a friendly Texan and his wife located a bit up a hill on the north side but still very close to everything. I stayed on the first floor and had magnificent view over the bay. The owner also runs a restaurant in front of the beach (two min walk) where multiple choices of breakfast are served a perfect way to start the day. I really enjoyed my stay there and it is highly recommended. In front of all the rooms there is a table and chairs and they also have a nice pool to relax.
