I stayed at this property when it was The Park Inn by Radisson. It is a very clean, safe hotel. The staff is personable, and I don't recommend walking from downtown after dark.

The property is about half way between the airport and downtown San Jose. Very convenient and somewhat easy access to shopping and a great launch point for tours ect

The breakfast was great, and the rooms were clean and spacious. However, the pool is an outdoor pool, located in full view of a conference area (which were going on for most of our stay). There is also a "hot" tub, but it is only heated by the sun (during the day), so there really isn't one. Also, the hotel has plenty of placards stating that they're eco-friendly - to please leave towels on the racks and they won't change them, etc, but despite me leaving them on the racks, they changed them (and the sheets). Then the following day I left a message for housekeeping to NOT change sheets and towels, and they still changed them. All in all, this is a wonderful hotel a few blocks from a main thoroughfare with plenty of shops and restaurants. Just know that your sheets and towels will be changed regardless of what any sign says.

A very good hotel for a short stay in San Jose. We had a hugh room on the 9th floor. Breakfast was good, but not many choices. Coffee was weak, but that's a problem all over Costa Rica. Some nice restaurants in the neighbourhood, I highly recommend Lubnan, a Lebanese restaurant. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from downtown San Jose.
