Love the Staff number one!! So kind and helpful and efficient! They go above and beyond! Love the floral and Fona, birds! Beautiful! Breakfast was amazing everyday so special! Even cleaning person went above and beyond to make our stay special! Walking to my dentist and amazing restaurant near!! Going back soon. Sauna nice. No Hot tub but pool is beautiful!

Excellent boutique hotel

La Sabana is an extremely lovely hotel located in a nice safe part of San José, close to plenty of amenities. I really enjoyed the pool, and the room was cozy and comfortable. The staff here are the best!

This is an urban area, and the noise level is a bit loud at times, but the hotel is cleverly landscaped, and arranged in such a manner that it has its own little oasis. The staff was wonderful, comfy beds, good free breakfast included.

Staff was very friendly, breakfast was amazing. It is a quiet area and easy to walk around. My room was on the ground level looking to the pool, so it was a bit noisy. Maybe they can improve the condition of the windows so that they are sound-proof. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

For the value this is a great property. Everything is very clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. The inner courtyard with the pool feels like an oasis in a big city. My only complaint was the service on the food. Servers were friendly but service was a bit slow and orders got confused. If it weren't for that I would give it 5 stars for friendlines, value and cleanliness!!

The staff was wonderful. The mattress was a bit lumpy, but it didn't keep me from sleeping. Shower head/ water pressure meant a fairly small cone of water. Once I adjusted the angle of my tablet the wi-fi signal strength improved dramatically. Good breakfast served by very pleasant ladies. Location is a bit out of the way, so front desk had to call me a cab each day I was there. On the last day, no cabs were available, so Maria called me an Uber.

Excellent all around hotel

I found that the hotel was fine in all respects. Good wifi, nice breakfast, pleasent service, efficient checkin, reasonable price. Parking is limited and when I checked out they had to move a few cars around for me to leave but it only added 5 or so minutes. Also the room doe.s not have a safe which I like in my room in Costa Rica for my passport etc. Pool, room, bathroom and bed are all nice.

Very nearly perfect

This is one of the nicest hotels i have stayed at. Very pretty and traditional, comfy beds, excellent food and service. A 7 dollar taxi into the centre. The pool was very cold so I couldnt use it at all. Most people just sat around it or had a very quick dip. Only sell wine by the bottle so, being solo, sitting with a glass of wine around the pool in the evening and chatting to the visitors was not an option.

This little boutique hotel is amazing. This was my third stay for a reason. The staff is just wonderful and so helpful. They help find you tours or explain the Tico bus routes. My room is always spotless. The floor is so clean there is nothing on your bare feet! My housekeeper took care of me like it was a cruise ship. She would fold any clothes I left out, straighten and organize things I left on the bed, and fold the towels in to swans and different things every day. The breakfast ladies are so kind and caring. They have full service, menu ordering, free breakfast daily that is delicious. The Britt coffee is the best in CR! I bring my own thermos and have it filled up for my day. The pan roasted plantains are a fav. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants you can walk to, from fast food American favs to every different international fare and Tico food too. (A Tico is a Costa Rican person) You can walk to the Walmart grocery store and are just feet away from La Sabana park where you can enjoy time outside. The pool is beautiful and the lovely birds with yellow bellies will join you there.
