This a boutique hotel with an old school western vibe. The outside of the hotel is beautiful the rooms are spacious but a little dated. The steakhouse next door was delicious and we received a discount for dinner. Breakfast was included and was also at the steakhouse next door. Even thought this property is close in miles to the airport it is not a simple or quick drive to get to this property or to get to the airport.

The rooms are clean and nice, and the property is very pretty. That said, the staff were relatively rude/aloof throughout, with the exception of the breakfast staff that were very kind and accommodating. The property is nice but the location has very little nearby within walking. There is loud music playing until about 1030pm. The restaurant is great.

This is a beautiful hotel. The room is spacious and very pleasant. The steakhouse is very nice. Although the shredded beef was a little salty to us, the food tasted very good with several tasty side dishes.

We only stayed one night as we flew in late to Jan Jose, but were staying in La Fortuna for our trip. If we had been spending anytime at all in San Jose would have stayed longer. Really nice staff and courtyard was beautiful. Did not use the pool or game room. Breafast was great and complimentary with our booking unfortunately arrived to late at night to eat dinner at resturaunt. We did smell them prepping as we waited for our car rental to leave the next day. Smelled amazing! Wish we could have tried it. Ine last note, our flight got in after check in, and they had a bell hop waiting for us as our Uber pulled up, it was impressive. Highly recommend if you need a place to stay a few nights in San Jose.

Fresh food. They microwave the Huevos Rancheros so one may ask them to avoid that if you order it. Good morning breakfast service but it would be ideal to have a Buffet where one does not have to wait and one can get whatever one wants... and not order and wait 10mins for the breakfast. Bed was comfortable and the bed was firm. Room was clean and everything was great.
