Other than this old lady needing a stepstool to climb into bed, I loved everything about this hotel. From convenient location to super friendly staff, and in room fireplace, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We really took advantage of the wine and cheese hour and continental breakfast. What a lovely experience all around.

Love this unique spot, centrally located and relaxing to return to at the end of the day. This was my second stay, for three days this time, and I would return again. Beds are comfy, rooms are like mini suites, the fireplace adds coziness, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great. The decor is fun -- not sure how all these prints and colors can be combined but it totally works.

Super cute hotel in a great location. Room was very good size, comfy bed. Decor was cool and well considered. They kindly provided a welcoming complimentary cheese board and glass of wine when we checked in. Breakfast too was a pleasant surprise, I’d not noticed it was included and it was a pretty good continental breakfast selection in a very nice basement dining room, complete with cosy fireplace under a rather random portrait of Bertie Bassett. Much more pleasant than a soulless chain hotel. This will be my go to for staying in SF moving forward.

We loved the antique elevator, the wine and nibbles in the evening, the welcoming wine bottle in the room, there’s so many little gems at this hotel. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Great older style hotel. The room was very homey and comfortable with a fireplace. Good breakfast and excellent staff. Nice wine and cheese in the afternoon. Excellent location near restaurants, Union Sq and the BART /Muni. Curtis gave great service at check-in and recommended very good restaurants. We will surely return on our next visit to SF.

Our stay at White Swan Inn was wonderful. The staff were incredibly warm, kind, and full of helpful local recommendations, making us feel genuinely welcomed. The location is excellent — an easy walk to Chinatown and great Italian restaurants in North Beach. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying, and we loved the cozy, living-room-style space next to the breakfast area. It felt inviting and comfortable, like staying in a charming home. We would happily stay here again.

The hotel was clean and the location was great. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast/afternoon snacks were delightful. Only complaint was the street noise, two out of my three night stay I was kept awake by truck emptying recycling which seem to go on for over an hour. I understand that it’s an older building and an urban location. I would still stay here again.

We loved our stay at the White Swan Inn when we were visiting San Francisco for two evenings. The location is perfect. We were able to easily walk to areas such as Chinatown and the Cable Car Museum. We were only a couple of blocks from public transportation and rode the bus, train, and cable car. We didn't have to use our car at all during our stay. As soon as we arrived, Cody was a great asset to our stay. He gave us such helpful information as to where to eat, how to get around, and even where to park for a better deal. He really enhanced our stay. The room was large and very nicely decorated. We enjoyed the wine and nibbles the first evening and breakfast both mornings. The inn was quiet and had great amenities, such as microwave, refrigerator, robes, and even a box fan that really helped to circulate air. I'm very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend this to any one staying in the area.
