This place is real nice and pleasant to stay. Our room was very roomy compared the normal hotel stays. The staff were kind and courteous. A definite must stay as we will be coming back on our next stay.

The hotel is very well kept and the room was spacious. It is convenient to lots of things in the nearby area. After checking in and going to my room I discovered it was not cleaned yet. The desk attendant apologized profusely and changed me to a different room. The new room was smaller, but ok for 1 night. I asked if I could change to the original, larger room the next day and they made sure it was cleaned first thing so I could move right after breakfast.

The owners have been upgrading this niche, hotel. We loved the unique light fixtures and the decor. The hotel is clean and staff was friendly. Free parking is definitely a big bonus in the bay area! We visited during 4th of July weekend so we were on the go and didn't use the fitness center. However, the equipment is modern and clean. The carpet is old but my guess is they will update the flooring in the future. The continental breakfast is basic however the hotel is next to an IHOP so you don't have to drive to have a bigger breakfast. And there are a number of restaurants nearby. We will definitely stay at the Montes again.

Villa Montes is my go-to place whenever I'm in SFO for the night. Beds and bedding are super comfy. Air conditioning is quiet. Furniture is clean and comfortable. This is a solid place to stay!

The hotel itself was well appointed, and kept to the theme of an Italian Villa. But the desk clerk was not gracious or welcoming at all and made us go down to pick up a roll of toilet paper when two rolls should have already been provided. The bedding was nice, but the room was advertised as having “two queen-sized beds,” but they were actually just doubles! The free on-site parking was a plus, as was the free breakfast.

I liked the quirky retro feel of this hotel, much more personality than the typical boxy constructions these days. Very clean (no sticky feel if you walk barefoot), road / flight noise wasn’t bad. No shuttle to airport but Uber is around 10-15 min max

Like: furniture set was classic but needed cleaning and was OLD. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok but same thing everyday, no eggs. Stored our luggage after checkout. Dislike: fitness center had 4 piece of equipment, neither elliptical machine worked and the bike was old, didn’t try row machine. I reported it and the answer was “I know”. Very disappointing. Reported air not working 2 times, Never fixed.
