First time here, wasnt sure what the area around Market would be like since i hear about the chaos on the news but it was nothing like the reports. A few homeless here and there but nothing dramatic. The hotel was great, staff really nice, awesome bar on 5th floor and convenient to everything. Ill definitely stay here again when back in 6 months for another work trip.

My partner and I are always looking for fun date night hotels in the city. This might be a new favorite for the cost/value. a cool old deco hotel in beautiful condition. Here are some things about the hotel. The Dirty Habit. This is kinda why I came here in the first place, I love this bar, it's got a hip sexy vibe, fantastic bar and just enough food to keep it interesting. The Room. I upgraded to an "executive city view king" which was nice but nothing special, it was spacious enough, the city view isn't anything great because the top floor is only 9, nice little desk area and city space, it did not feel cramped at all. Would have loved if the bathroom had a soaking tub. The bed was nice and comfy. Amenities: Can't really speak to it. We hung out at Dirty Habit and then our room. The Area. This is centrally located part of town, easy to get to everything, but as downtown has suffered so has this are continued to. It's a little dirty, a little shady, homeless and such wandering around. I wouldn't call it unsafe there's just parts of town i'd rather be. Parking: 55 a night valet. OUCH. You can get much better value around if you do some searching on San Francisco parking websites.

Went opening weekend for the Giants! The staff was super friendly and accommodating, the price for parking was half the price of the Hotel across the street. Not to mention1/4 of the price for room…yes the room was small but it was clean and super quiet. The only problem was only one of the floors ice machine worked. Great Stay! Dirty Habit was a Hidden Gem, Steve was great!

Booked through Expedia. Found out about “resort fee” at check-in. They give you a $10 voucher to their restaurant, but fail to tell you it’ll be closed 2 of the 4 nights we stayed. Woke up at 4am to a low battery chirp from the smoke detector. Room service didn’t fill shower gel, ran out on last day. And then upon checkout, not one single question about how was our stay? Will not be staying here again.
