We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was cozy and clean. The bed was very comfortable and clean and the air conditioning worked very well. We will definitely stay there again.

Honestly, every thing was really nice at Hotel Griffon. From the hotel itself to the staff. Loved the complimentary breakfast and location. This is a very cool boutique hotel and it was a very enjoyable place to stay. Will stay here next time we come to San Francisco.

When looking for a hotel I had a few requirements and this hotel met all of them. The hotel had an excellent price point, wasn’t in a sketchy area, and was very clean and well kept. If you are looking for a safe, clean, well kept hotel in a good location this hotel is for you. Cable cars and bus stops right around the corner for easy travels all over the city, right across from the ferry building, and lots of restaurants in the area. Definitely would stay again!

Quaint older hotel in San Francisco. The room was really large with a living room, pull out bed, wet bar, small frig. We had some friends who were in town and it was roomy to entertain there. Bed was really comfy, quiet place. Perry's restaurant shares this property so you could go downstairs and have food without having to leave the premises - good food. Nice variety. The property backs up to the Embarcadero so you an sit outside as well with a water view. Parking is off site, but there are many garages close by. Would stay here again.

A good, clean and efficient city hotel. Bay view rooms do have a lot of light coming in from the outside at night. Bring your sleep mask. Morning pastries and coffee are just adequate but you might bring your own juice as the vending machine is limited. The adjacent Perry's restaurant doesn't open until lunch.

The front desk staff at Hotel Griffon really stood out to me--Aaron was able to get me into my room early, Gladys was quick to help when my keys couldn't work, and Carlos was able to switch my room in the middle of the night when an unknown allergen started to trigger my asthma. The rooms were very clean, I must say--my asthma is just very sensitive and I don't see this as a fault of the hotel or their cleaning staff. Having free water refills available in the lobby was also a lifesaver. The location was excellent! Being able to walk to the metro, streetcar, bus was super convenient, and I even walked to Fisherman's Wharf since it was so nice to be near the water. I would gladly stay at this property again.

The staff was welcoming upon arrival and very accommodating when I asked for a room change. I was initially given a room in front of the elevators and immediately adjacent to the stairs. As a very light sleeper, I knew that wasn’t a good placement for me. Ann at the front desk was kind enough to relocate me and upgraded me cooking room at no additional charge
