The property was clean, close to the main transportation hub, and shopping area. Quick ride to many attractions including the Pier. Staff was friendly. Don't expect a traditional continental breakfast. Only served wheat bread for toast, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, coffee, tea, milk, & orange juice. There is no air conditioner or fan in the hotel. Some rooms have microwave. The room I stayed, did not have a microwave, and the bed was extremely hard.

Old world charm and in the heart of Union Square. Old classic San Francisco architecture. Walking distance to tons of shopping, dining and cultural amenities. Public transportation including the famous cable cars just 3 blocks away. Kings size bed very comfortable. Pleasant staff too. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Fitzgerald.
