AC was quiet, the staff friendly and informative, towels soft and the location perfect. Walk to amazing food, the Embarcadero, and watch the sun set over the water from a rooftop bar. Walk to Balboa Park and the zoo. Hop the trolley or coaster for added adventure. Its all there.

We agreed we would stay here again. Jeff at the front desk was amazingly friendly we enjoyed chatting with him & we got recommendations from a born & raised local. The room was clean, not fans of the door-less glass shower panels. Glad we booked the King room with the private bathroom. (Just wished this room wasn't across from the shared bathroom)They give you optional ear plus but come the weekend we had noisy talking neighbors at 5am while sleeping, the walls are a bit thin.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! From the moment I checked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with super comfortable bedding that made it easy to relax. The only con was that it was hard to find parking. I gave Zindel Hotel in San Diego a 3 out of 5. The staff was friendly and helpful. Jeff at the front desk was great and extremely helpful—he actually improved my overall impression from a 1 to a 3. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and nice. The location is convenient, close to the airport and main tourist attractions (about a 5–10 minute drive). We used Uber. Little Italy nearby has a nice vibe. The rooms were very clean, and guests had access to complimentary coconut water, regular bottled water, milk, yogurt, snacks, and hot beverages, all included at no extra cost. However, there are several drawbacks. Some rooms share a bathroom, and my room, for example, had a wall very close to the window, which made it feel dark. The front desk was not always staffed—no one was there on Monday, and at times during other shifts as well. There is no early check-in unless you pay an additional fee. There was also a strong urine smell around the building on the sidewalks. Additionally, the property is not accessible for people who cannot use stairs—there are no ramps or elevators.
