We found this place for the price and the central A/C. The room was like a studio, but came equipped with everything needed. It was also very clean. Loved valet parking and the rooftop has great views of Gas lamp.

Loved the rooftop open till 11pm. Did a lot of soul searching up there. Most beautiful way of seeing San Diego. The staff was above and beyond in taking care of my needs. The crowd after 1030 pm on the street is interesting. You must come stay and experience.

This is a quirky and historic hotel that has been updated and is a very comfortable place to stay in the heart of the Gaslamp quarter. We loved the old hallways with mirrors and old doors, and the high-ceilinged room felt historic. They don't build them like this anymore! The room was quiet, and the AC worked really well (we were there during a heatwave so we really needed the AC!). Although the room was small (we were in a room, not a suite), it had plenty of space including a large dresser, a desk, a table/chairs and a lovely windowseat! The front desk staff was very helpful, and they went above-and-beyond to help us when we needed to unexpectedly leave early due to a family emergency. The room was clean and the cleaning staff were really helpful!
