Dated hotel, very nice staff, parking is free but good luck getting a spot. The place was clean, room was roomy enough but in desperate need of updating. Good stay, nice people. One of the beds in the 2 double bed room I stayed in This last time was a little bit worn, but still pretty comfortable and the other mattress was fine. I do wish they had microwaves in their standard rooms but you usually have to get an upgraded room for that. Most of the time, you can’t beat the price to stay here, unless you stay in El Cajon or further up north. Staff always greet you when you walk into the lobby and overall I would say this is one of the best (relatively) affordable places to stay in SD. Housekeeping staff are also very friendly and they do an excellent job

The property looked really nice, the room was so clean, carpets, beds, drawers, all of it. Very comfy spacious room. It even had two closets and one was fairly large. I’m really happy with my stay here and would stay here again.

You get what you pay for. $50-60 cheaper than other hotels nearby, friendly staff, however my bed and “clean” towels had loads of hair from previous guests. The shower had so little water pressure that it was difficult to shower. The mattress should have been retired 6 years ago. If you want a place to sleep on a road trip for a night it will do, for anything else I would recommend paying a little more for a better experience
