The hotel is old, that’s part of the charm. The rooms are large, outdated and also charming. It’s a vibe. We could have paid similar for a newer hotel but would lose out on the location, the pool, and the amazing staff. I will return to San Antonio and I will always stay at the Menger.

Wonderful stay! The property was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The room was spacious, fresh, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection, and the overall atmosphere of the property was pleasant and inviting. We also really enjoyed the bar and other amenities. The location was convenient, and everything about our stay felt smooth and enjoyable. Excellent hospitality and great value overall. Was in town for a concert, Hotel was great but best part was location. I was able to wake up one morning and walk less then 5 minutes to see the alamo. Another I could walk less than 5 minutes to the River Center Mall and river walk. Overall location of the hotel was incredible and the hotel itself was amazing
