It was the best part of our trip, we felt so welcome, the staff at the desk, the huge smile of the doorman, the managers and the ladies in the breakfast area, the pool was clean even after rainy days, we would love to go back next year

Wonderful hotel with super friendly staff. It's right on the beach, easy parking in front. Very central, short walk to stores and restaurants. Great breakfast buffet but you also have a kitchen. Big pool with a bar. We have visited Las Terrenas multiple times and this is our favorite place to stay.

A great breakfast sitting up on the deck overlooking the ocean. We had a very nice ground floor unit, modernized, LED lights, undermount sinks, new Fawcett's, lots of cupboards. Awesome pool, very clean. Friendly staff.

I have stayed multiple times. The rooms are excellent and the breakfast is great! The pool is awesome and we love the town of Las Terrenas and Coson Beach. Unfortunately due to construction the beach across the street was not accessible. And one of the 4 bedrooms did not have air conditioning.

Great location close to everything in Las Terrenas but quiet at the same time. When it comes to Las Terrenas location is a big deal, if you are planning to walk to most places you need to be close to Pueblo de Pescadores, which Alabachiara is. The pool is amazing, open until 10 pm too which is quite unusual these days, breakfast was varied and tasty. The apartment has a full kitchen which comes quite handy if you want to cook your own meal. Finally, Las Terrenas is a great town to base yourself and explore the Samana Peninsula but also with enough things to do to keep you occupied for a few days, beach hopping, etc.

Having visited Las Terrenas regularly since 2008 and watched with dismay how much development is going on taking away the natural beauty of the place especially the area of Punta Popy which is now awash with various establishments that really are just jumping on the bandwagon, it was refreshing to find that the Albachiara Hotel had managed to improve the location where it is situated which if I recall many years ago was run down and delapitated. The hotel is well managed and the staff, all the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The Hotel is very well kept and amazingly clean. Apartments are just right for what you need for a stay in the area, nothing fancy yet very comfortable and meet all your needs whether to eat in or out. The pool is beautiful and the breakfast each morning meant I did not have to worry about food at lunchtime as it was plentiful from continental to a good old fry up if you want. Attractions in the city are within walking distance, Security of the hotel is very good.Only downside is the main road at the front that because of all the development in and around the area it is a constant hum of rented motorbikes and ATV´s and late evening local neds racing up and down in their cars with pops and bangs. I was there for a few days and would certainly consider another short stay in the future. Pets (dogs) are welcome as long as well trained. Some of the apartments appear to be long term rentals or under ownership, all in all thumbs up.

The hotel has great potential and is located right across a very nice beach. But I found two cockroaches on different days in our bedroom, and the master bedroom shower and jacuzzi did not work. Also, no hot water! We had to turn on and off the shower constantly to get hot water for a bath. Asked for a credit at the front desk for this and I was told that they were so sorry, but no credit. Definitely requires maintenance and better customer service.

El hotel queda justo frente a la playa, el check in fue rapido. El apto que me asignaron no le funciona uno de los aires y lo reporte y no hicieron nada al respecto, no ofrecieron cambiarnos ni ninguna disculpa NADA. Nos toco dormir incomodos esas dos noches. Es muy triste que no les importe que sus clientes no vuelvan es mi quinta vez alli y creo que no vuelvo mas. El lugar esta muy ruidoso y si tampoco les importa mantener el funcionamiento basico de lo que incluyen los apartamentos pues ya no se puede volver.
