Disappointing service, especially for a hotel rated 4 stars.
I booked a room for my mum and her small dog. We specifically chose Villa Carlton because it claimed to have on-site parking and to be pet-friendly. After a long day of travel, my mum arrived to find no parking available, and the receptionist made no effort to help or suggest alternatives. She was completely left to fend for herself in an unfamiliar city.
After searching unsuccessfully for street parking, she asked to park in the hotel’s delivery area just overnight. The receptionist responded with an eye-roll and unwelcoming attitude, and told her to be gone by 7 AM. When my mum asked if she could leave her keys so someone could move the car while she had breakfast (as is common in 4-5 hotels), the answer was just “no.”
The hotel building itself is nice but if you’re expecting service to match the stars, you’ll be disappointed.
