It was an old building with worn-out furniture.
The toilet was dirty, and the mattress was old and unclean.
The service and staff behavior were good, though.
I think the place was expensive for what it offered.
The hot water worked well.
The bar itself and the staff - good.
Breakfast - None
Room - No soap.
Heaters - Very noisy
Couldn't get out of my room. It took me 45 minutes when a lady walking past the hotel helped me..
Room we stayed in was comfortable but tired, weekend music was loud but finished at 11pm, staff could not do enough for you unfortunately we stayed while a manager change over so no food available, little cafe next door claires kitchen is recommended, nice micro pub down high st, the Brunel suited our needs and price was very reasonable
We have stayed here before, our third time now. Here in Saltash to visit my brothers and this weekend, Saltash Regatta!
As the Brunel is located in the high street, it has all the facilities built in around it.
Towels didn’t smell great. No soap. Very hot in the rooms. Quite basic. Fine but wasn’t amazing value. Moretti was great on tap. Pool table was good. Staff were good. Friendly
Good place for one night and affordable! It looks so on a busy street so the road noise can be an issue. The local food was great! Spanish restaurant down the hill on the river was outstanding
A pretty good room for the night given what I had paid.
The bed creaked a lot, but I didn't sleep badly on it. Room was a good size, check in was easy and the location was good.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Some allowances must be made as the Brunel is an old building such as the floors are a bit uneven, windows are single glazed. There was little hot water and water pressure was poor however the rooms were warm and the bed was comfortable. The Brunel does not serve breakfast but next door is the Fresh Fox, a good café or Olivia's Brews and Bites across the road, well worth a visit. Bar meals are served in the evenings.
Not good. The dog muck in the car park should have been a warning. Staff were lovely really helpful but the place is tired, bed’s uncomfortable I’d say the bed needs replacing. Mattress broken. Dirty towels in room. Hairs in sink. Needs a complete re fit to be on par with other places i stay in using Hotels.com. This is below the standards I expect. Was cheap but id happily pay more for better. No ales. Only lager.
This rom was advertised as a family room but it was basic. A dirty towel was left behind the television, the double bed mattress was stained, there was no plug for the basin and the shower could not be used, the controls were hanging off the wall. The room was very hot and although the heating was turned down it was still too hot to sleep properly and the window could not be opened. The room was advertised as room only, no breakfast supplied, there was a very good cafe next door which opened early. The bar did afternoon and evening meals from Wednesday onwards these were excellent and very reasonable
The worst place we have stayed in years. Played dance music till 11:30pm every night, sheets had blood on them, bathroom had black grime around the shower/bath. Stay well clear
Paid for a a deluxe room and it was definitely not deluxe.towels were poor the whole experience was very uncomfortable didn’t sleep well at all 😩 was not worth £95 that we paid and that was just for the room
