BEST STAY EVER!! Dream come true! 10/10 I hesitate saying that because I don't want too many people to know of my ideal place. Having a car is essential to visit the other chateaus in the area. The pool was kept open late September due to the fabulous warm weather so I was able to swim everyday that we stayed (3). The French breakfast was perfect, hospitality was superb, the grounds and ambience perfect!

Wonderful place, room was exceptional! Breakfast was wonderful! Only disappointment was that the pool was closed, even though it says they open it n May 15th (when asked, the staff person just shrugged it off).

We only stayed one night; wished we could have stayed a week! This is like a castle; beautifully appointed and the grounds are gorgeous. A truly unique experience. Also the beds were comfortable and the shower worked fine; and our host was perfectly cordial.

The location was beautiful. It was peaceful and very quiet. I would highly recommend you hire a car as this hotel is out of the way. Otherwise we had a lovely stay at this place.

Remote, quiet location. Beautiful property, amazing room (we had the villa away from the Château). You'll need to bring your own wine, cheese, picnic, food...the only food service is continental breakfast....but Ambroise is a very quick drive with many food options.

Beautiful elegant location. Amazing breakfast on the terrace. Great food and chateaus nearby. But this hotel could be even better with just a little creativity. I recommend putting a bar in the second floor salon and nightly card games a la the Ancien Regime. The space is underutilized

Comfortable Family Adventure!

I loved so much about this gem. Kids enjoyed the freedom to walk the grounds, wooden sword fight and use their imaginations! The piano could use some tuning (we are a musical family), but the kids enjoyed learning how to play French pool and practice reading their awesome book collection. Victor Hugo books in French!

Has potential.....

Beautifully renovated chateau....tho too many stuffed animals everywhere! Room was beautiful and really comfortable. Lovely lounge area but no bar or eating facilities and staff were rather pedantic and reluctant to allow use of their cutlery or coffee machine. Dishwasher was available ...but always full and dirty and no other crockery available. Games were available but incomplete...only half a set of cards and no balls to go with table football. Swimming pool floor was very dirty and unwelcoming. Sadly lacking in attention to little details but otherwise lovely. Also lacking in focus with either a bar or food area needed.

We stayed in the big room which is separate to the main chateau - a short walk. It was private and the vaulted ceilings were stunning. Spacious. Grounds were pleasant. The two pianos did not work, nor did the foosball table. Pianos are hard to fix I know especially when they’re that broken, but in that case probably don’t mention them as an activity during checkin. The foosball table is a five minute handyman fix.

This was a great spot to explore the surrounding area, though we were also very happy when we just relaxed at the chateau!. My wife rated the breakfast 11/10, and the my son loved his turret side-room. Aside for breakfast, No restaurant on-site, but they have a kitchen where you can find what you need to have a nice picnic meal out the grounds
