Wonderful location near Saffron Walden and beautiful Audley End House and Gardens. So much nicer than staying in one hotel room. Pub is right next door with delicious food. We didn’t use the nearby train but you could take it to London or Cambridge for the day.

A lovely character apartment in a quaint village from which to explore the local region of North Essex. The well equipped and comfortable accommodation had nice touches such as displaying local art (for sale) and the host even left us welcome treats.
While this property is in the heart of a small village and off road parking is available, some caution is needed while reversing out of the property gates onto the road with limited visibility.

Lovely accommodation.
Very comfortable, clean accommodation. Host was very thoughtful leaving some home made biscuits and milk for us.
Location was perfect for us as we were visiting family in Saffron Waldron but car is essential to get out and about

We had a lovely stay mostly. The owners were away until the last night so it was quiet and there was everything we needed. Mostly clean although some areas really needed some attention. Lovely bathroom and a very comfy bed in main bedroom. Really ought to be an apartment for 2 because whoever stays in the 2nd bedroom has to go through main bedroom to get to the bathroom. In present state it doesn’t really work for a 2nd bedroom though because as we found out on last night, when someone’s in the main house the light from their room on the other side of the wall shines through an adjoining obscured glass panel (it is covered with a blind) and adjoining high windows which are painted over. Our daughter was kept awake by noise and the light.

Really nice self contained apartment
Really nice self-contained part of a house in attractive village of Wendens Ambo not far from Saffron Walden. Clean well equipped and in good condition with small private garden. Very comfortable king sized bed and nice bathroom. 2nd bedroom has 3/4 sized bed and light and airy.
