The cabin has a great location and a peaceful setting. We even saw a deer walking by at night, which was a nice experience. However, cleanliness was below expectations, with hair present throughout the cabin, including on the bed quilts. The heater was also not working, which caused some discomfort. With improved cleaning and maintenance, this could be a great stay.

The cabin is a dated but nice. It had a great patio and outside area. It did get a little hot in there at night as the window unit didn't cool things down as much as we hoped but it wasn't a huge issue. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

This is my second time staying here and will not be my last. The cabins are a bit dated but it gives them a real down home cabin feel. Property is well kept and manicured and lots of deer all around. Nice quiet atmosphere for a relaxing vacation.

Lots of nature and it's quiet. It looks dirty and needs maintenance. I didn't have the equipment, such as dishes, and I had to order them. There is a water leak in the bathroom.

The Eagles Nest cabin was perfect for your family of 4. The pictures posted didn’t do justice. Was hesitant to rent because pictures but when when got there the place was very clean and welcoming. Heater worked great for being that it was 20 degrees. Extra towels under sinks in both bedrooms. We actually like having the sinks in the rooms. We were all able to get ready faster had we only had the bathroom sink. Close to shopping and the town. We will most definitely be going back for a stay.

Disappointed because the bed and linen had an odor. Bathroom vent did not work and the bathroom was very small. Otherwise, the kitchen was clean and it was supplied. As with most places, beware of the online pictures.

Cabin size was good. The cabin had cob webs on the ceilings. Walls and some wall fixtures were full of dust. The trim was also dusty. On our first night we noticed ants on the bathroom sink and they kept coming out through out the entire time we stayed there. On the first day there we were putting up a few things in a cabinet and my husband found a styrofoam container with beans.

The cabin had the bear basics. Just what you would expect in a cabin. The worn couch and chair. The bed was adequate and comfortable enough for a few nights. The outdoor lights were too much at night and the porch light across the yard shone through the holes of the shades. It could use a little more spring cleaning of baseboards and the ceiling but it was clean. Water pressure was great. Deer came around every night and wild horses were in the area too. The cabins are close to each other but we stayed during the week and it was quiet.

Okay, not great and won’t be staying again

The cabin was mainly what we were expecting. We wanted something that didn’t share walls with another unit and had some of the fun New Mexico decor. The description for check in is confusing because it references to check in prior to 6 pm and 7 pm. To be safe, we went with 6 pm and called when we were on our way as instructed. When we called, they acted as though it was weird we were calling and were not overly friendly. Around 4:30 pm the day of check in, the office called to inform us that they close at 5 pm so they would leave our check in documents outside in a safe. This was fine and not a problem, it just wasn’t what is stated anywhere online. It can be confusing to find the cabin, especially if it’s dark since it’d be hard to see the cabin names. Thankfully we found ours pretty easily and got in with no problem. The first thing we noticed were all the mule deer around and they were the sweetest things! Once inside, the kitchen light was burned out, and the fire place didn’t work. It had a gas connection, but no gas, and one sign said only to use the gas, and another said not ti use the gas, so again the communication was off. Our stay was good and everything else worked properly. On check out, they ask that you return the key, except we were not given a key. I called to let to let them know we had checked out and to see if we needed to do anything and they hung up on me. I called back thinking there had been accident, but no, she was just rude.

Cabin was cozy and well maintained. However, surrounding cabins are close in proximity and the neighboring cabins proceeded to sing and play loud music until well past midnight. Perhaps enacting quiet hours would benefit those looking to escape noise.

Cute cabin pretty primitive. Limited items to cook with. Could have been cleaner, did see some spiders in the cabin, but being in the woods I’d didn’t really have a problem with it. If I went back I’d bring more items for cooking with me. The area around was nice the deer and elk coming in close we neat we enjoyed looking at them.
