We booked the family cabin, which was lovely. Great view of the lake, and the village with the cabins was very nice. Breakfast is included, which was great and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the on-site steakhouse restaurant as well. Very helpful staff, and very friendly.

Lovely setting by the lakeside,although we opted to stay there to take in the Northern Lights we had cloud and rain through the night so rather disappointing. Superb breakfast included in our stay helped make up for it in the lodge like surroundings.

We could not have had a better stay! The cabin and grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. There were plenty of activities that were at the resort, as well as a shuttle that took us to Santa Claus village and town center. My 4 year old had plenty to do even without snow. I would definitely stay there again!

The resort was very unique, clean and cozy. There was a multitude of different experiences and tours to choose from. We loved the igloos, the sauna experience and the fire pits. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Our only disappointment is that we would have loved to have been provided with robes as we did not bring any pajamas or lounge wear and after a shower we would have loved to cuddle up in a comfy robe!

Stayed in the igloo glass cabins, very atmospheric, beautiful surroundings. The fire log cabins around the property and hiking trails are excellent. Sled provided was a lot of fun. Overall staff very friendly, reception and breakfast excellent. However, most amenities ( sauna) are not included, which is disappointing considering how expensive the Aurora cabins are. Lapland activities booked through the resort are almost 2-3 times the price compared to independent providers. Unless you are looking for convenince you will be better off booking external providers.

Apukka resort was a wonderful place to stay. Me and my wife stayed for two nights, and all the place was amazing specially the cabins, also a really good place to see northern lights. The stuff was really kind.

Apukka resort had very nice Glass Igloos with beautiful surroundings. Resort had several activities offered - Husky rides, Rein deer sled rides etc. We however preferred to enjoy the already available activities like Rein deer farm viewing, Frozen lake walk, Fire camping , snow tubing , snow Sledding there . Breakfast was exquisite with several choices ranging from jucies , desserts, main course food like oatmeal, pancakes, varieties of breads, cheese . We stayed here for the glass igloos experience and hopes to see northern lights. For our bad luck it was a very cloudy day that night , else the resort is far away from Rovaneimi lights and a perfect place for northern lights viewing .

This place is an absolute winter wonderland. The accommodations made everything so convenient. The food was good, there was a nice selection of food and beverages. The cabin was amazing. I highly recommend and we will be back again!

Form the moment you arrive you are made to feel most welcome by the staff every member of staff was so nice and welcoming. The place its self is simply stunning a once in a lifetime experience. We stayed in a room with a glass roof so you lay in bed and see the Northern Lights. The room was spotless the food was divine, heaven on earth.

Exceptional stay in Lapland

We absolutely adored our stay at Apukka. We were initially put off by the distance away from Rovaniemi, but the property has so many activities and is near a beautiful lake. Our igloo was gorgeous. The food at the on-site restaurants was amazing. The staff here are the highlight - they are so helpful and kind! Just make the booking!

We had a wonderful time surrounded by breathtaking nature. The scenery is simply stunning – perfect landscapes just waiting to be explored. The experiences we had were truly unforgettable, with the absolute highlight being the incredible Northern Lights, which we were lucky enough to witness in all their beauty – a once-in-a-lifetime moment! The staff was exceptionally friendly, always helpful, and made us feel completely welcome. Overall, a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend!

The resort was very pretty and clean, and the cabins were incredible. The included breakfast was international and included lots of different options. Make sure you have a car though. Otherwise, you'll have to take a taxi everywhere. You can not walk to attractions.
