“This is a good value option in Lyme Regis. The building is old but quite well maintained. The ensuite was very good and quite large. The bed was comfortable. The gentleman at book in was very good and very helpful with dining options in the town. All round I would certainly stay here again.”

“The key was collected from the shop serving the petrol station which I didn’t know at the time. There is a Greggs and Subway which is very handy for food etc. also the garage station is a Londis which sells items as well. The actual rooms are located behind the building of Greggs and Subway hidden away from the main public area and road. My room was clean and the bathroom was clean and functional. Unfortunately the Roman blinds at the windows you couldn’t open and close which doesn’t...

“Honestly it’s a dump. Tiny dirty rooms. Smelly pub with bad food. The location on the sea front is perhaps its benefit but it’s in a parking lot. Avoid”

“We needed somewhere to stay with our dog and this limits your choices. However, the Golden Fleece was very clean, good supply of refreshments in the room, shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. They even supplied a fan to cool the room, although it wasn't great, it shows a level of care and consideration for guests and was appreciated. The owners we met were friendly and I would definitely consider staying again if we visit the area again. Only negative is they need to remove the cobwebs...

“Stayed for 3 nights. Lovely rooms separate from the restaurant. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds; a daily replenished supply of coffee; tea; biscuits; water etc. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food superb.”

“Hotel location was very good and the staff were very nice and helpful. The cooked breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean but the walls are thin so you can hear adjoining TVs and voices. It's worth packing some earplugs if you like an earlyish bed time.”
