It was a comfortable and pleasant place to stay. Nice and central to visit places of interest and restaurants. We found the lighting in the room rather poor, and struggled to read, especially at night. We would have liked drawers unpack our clothes into, but just left things in our suitcases eventually.

Fantastic boutique hotel in a prime location! ​Location: Super convenient—less than a 10-minute walk to Central Station. ​Airport Access: Quick and easy connection; the express train to Schiphol Airport takes only 18 minutes. Within 15 minutes walking distance to main attactions like Market Hall and Cube House, bridge. ​Overall Vibe: The James is a lovely, stylish boutique hotel with a fantastic atmosphere. They provide body/shampoo wash but no conditioner.

We stayed at The James twice during our visit to the Netherlands. First time we were located on the 3rd floor, good sized room, large shower, soundproofing great. The second time on the 11th floor, again a good sized room, although I preferred the third floor. Bath and shower in this room which was great. Didn’t use the 2nd floor amenities but had a look and there was a great selection available. Close to everything - station, shops, restaurants and sights. Reception team were lovely and very helpful when the national transport strike was confirmed, assisting us in getting to Eindhoven via taxi. Would recommend.
