Nice hotel, which looks the part but alas it didn’t live up to expectations. We stayed for 3 nights on a B&B basis in a 4 star superior room during Rothenburg’s September festival, therefore the hotel was very busy (as expected). We found the reception staff to be friendly but the staff at breakfast not so and those serving in the beer garden were just simply rude. During our stay our floor was never cleaned and remained dusty with hair from previous visitors collecting in corners. In summary, good location, modern facilities but customer service below par.

We stayed for 2 nights. The location was relatively close to the places we wanted to visit. Our room was clean and spacious. The included breakfast was excellent, with a variety of hot and cold offerings. We would certainly stay here again. One small criticism -- we had booked a "junior suite" in order to have a larger sized bed but had not realized that this "suite" was a "2-story" unit in an unattached second building. Fortunately, the weather was good and walking to the main building for breakfast was not a problem. All in all, this was a minor "complaint" and we were quite satisfied with our stay. Regarding parking, we did not use a car but the hotel's parking lot seemed quite ample.
