We stayed here in Dec during Christmas market. It is an older hotel, but it is expected given the location in a medieval town. It is central to almost everything. The famous Plolein corner is right outside the hotel. Breakfast is good. Internet connection is also good. The slight draw back is the 14 min walk back to the train station, which is slightly uphill.

The good: Breakfast was fantastic as was the location, right in the center of town. It was so quiet it was almost eerie. Parking was perfect and, although11 Euros daily, very reasonable compared to city parking in Germany. The bad: Significant amount of deferred maintenance in the rooms. Lots of hair and dirt and smell of urine in bathrooms from poor cleaning. Pillows and mattresses terrible, difficult to sleep. Overall average for Germany, I guess.

Clean room, friendly staff and good breakfast. Hotel is quite old and some amenities did not work properly or were broken (bathtub, elevator). Otherwise very good stay and very conveniently located in the heart of Rothenburg with their own parking located in the next street. It is a 5 minute walk to the market square and hotel located right at the Plönlein. We enjoyed our Rothenburg experience a lot and will come again!

We have stayed at this location during the Imperial City Days celebration. We love the connivence of being close to the shops and activities. Plus we are far enough from the Marktplatz that we are not disturbed by all the noise or blocked due to events. They have a typical breakfast with meats, cheese, breads and cake. Best hotel in Rothenburg

The hotel is extremely beautiful with a nice view to the valley and right in the center of the old town. The hotel team is very kind. Rooms are comfortable, beautiful and make you feel you're in a movie. Breakfast is very delicous too with fresh food. I stayed there with my wife for out 15th anniversary and they even decorated the room romatically - depite me requesting it last minute. I really appreciated that.
