Our stay at La Lira was wonderful. The young gentleman who assisted us was exceptionally kind and helpful. He waited for us even after check-in hours, explained everything clearly, helped us arrange our taxi for next day flight, and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was extremely clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great, modern facility. Room was a little small but very clean. The only negative was the surrounding area. We felt the area might be a little shady at night. Although we didn’t actually observe anything. We went to the local restaurant across the river and had a wonderful dinner. The people sitting next to us were also from the US. They told us they weren’t crazy about the area either. Maybe it’s just a tourist thing. If you moved the room closer to Rome, it would be a 5 star.

We stayed for a single night before our flight home. The staff was very friendly and it looked like the rooms had been recently updated. The rooms were clean and the shower was large. We had trouble finding the shuttle to the hotel, and took a taxi instead. We did take the shuttle from the hotel to the airport and everything went smoothly. We enjoyed our stay.

Positives: Room was clean and looked new. Very bright and fresh. I arrived an hour before check in and they came down to let me in even though I was so early without any notice. Shower in bathroom was great! Negatives: Walls are paper thin. Gentleman in room next to mine came to his room around midnight and I could here him zipper his suitcase! It sounded like he was standing at the end of the bed. I woke up in the night multiple times thinking I heard someone in my room.

Property was very nicely updated. Location was get few blocks to beach promenade, about 6 blocks to a large park and grocery store and lots of restaurants across the bridge about 2 blocks away. Lots of keys so make sure you try them before. We got locked out not really understanding and had to call the manager to help.
