Hotel Androvandi was beautiful and the service was great. We had a free breakfast which was great with lots of choices. Fresh fruits and breads. Very clean and beautifully decorated.

The people and staff were very friendly. 5+ for how kind everyone was. The property was different than what we expected. I have attached pictures that look different than the website. The bathroom is very small. Only one person and no room to store anything. The stairs to the upstairs are very narrow and steep.

This was the perfect relaxing stay in Rome, the property exudes classic luxary. Easily walkable to many sights and restaurants. The breakfast was exactly what I want out of a hotel breakfast and the pool area was picturesque. Our room was very spacious and clean. Although the carpet and furniture is old, everything was in great condition and created a wonderful atmosphere. We would happily return!

We liked the place very much. It is very clean and the pool was very good. Only that it is a bit far from the center but we asked for a cab and it was normal. But it is a hotel that I recommend because the pool and facilities are well kept.

Great facilities and service, excellent breakfast

We had an excellent experience at the Aldrovandi. Our room was comfortable and spacious, a/c worked really well which was a relief given the sweltering heat. Pool area was large and comfortable, breakfast was excellent with a buffet with lots of hot and cold options (coffee was really good too). The service was also excellent. Calling a couple of cabs for our group was no bother and on the day of departure they gave us a breakfast to go as we were taking an early train.

Wonderful Roman holiday!

The staff at Aldrovandi was amazing! Great place to stay where you are close enough to the city center, but you can retire to a green area to get away from the hustle and bustle. It’s close to a wonderful park and zoo for different types of family activities. The pool came in clutch in those hot summer afternoons, especially for our little daughter. 10/10!

Really friendly staff, easy to get to, tram stop right outside. Lovely surrounding area with a park to walk through to the shopping area. Breakfast room was great with options to suit our family. Only negatives were the room was old fashioned and dark, but clean and had everything we needed, and unfortunately the pool wasn’t ready for use due to being the end of winter season. Great lounge area where we could wait for our airport transfer and charge phones before our homeward journey.

Tram stop close to property was very convenient. Fun to hear sounds from the zoo across the street. Wish there would have been dining options within a reasonable walk from the property. No microwave in the unit - that would have been more convenient, especially since no close places to have dinner.

The room I booked was a good size and nicely furnished, but it was on the ground floor facing a busy street and not only was there a lot of noise, but passing trams caused things in the room to vibrate too. On the final day ants started to appear in and around the bathtub, there was an unenthusiastic apology at the front desk when I pointed this out.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to store our bags on our final day free of charge. The pool is included with the stay and is lovely. September is a perfect time of year to visit as it’s out of tourist season, the weather is still great and it’s not too difficult to travel. You can buy a 3 day transport pass for all transport and there’s a bus stop directly outside of the hotel which we used a lot. Also all of the city wonder tours to Pompeii are about a 15 minute walk to Piazza del Popolo and the drop off point is 10 mins. Would recommend. There aren’t too many restaurants nearby the hotel in a short walk, but you can take the bus anywhere you want so it wasn’t a problem for us.

Property was decent. However the pool had features that weren’t working and clearly weren’t ever going to be addressed. Staff around the pool were rude and it felt like they just didn’t want to be there or if you asked for something it was an inconvenience.

In general a good option to stay in Rome. Located on the edge of Borghese park which is very nice. Borghese Gallery is also not far, Piazza del Popoli, Spanish stairs 10-13 min away. A few really nice restaurants - 10 min walk. The property is screaming for renovation but this is not unusual for Italy. Staff were nice, but room keeping were forgeting to replace body lotion. Breakfast was not superb, but quiet decent. As we were at the begining of Apr, the garden and pool were not functional and even not gaken care of. The area itself is kind of quiet the by Aldrovandi street get busy early morning and the noise wakes you up with windows open. Bus stop is nearby.

I like the location of this hotel. Its right next to a large park, which was good for my morning run. The room was equiped with a cooking/ washing area. The fridge was useful. Breakfast had a good continental selection.
