Vacations Close To Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest

It was very beautiful, and the staff were lovely (except the breakfast host, who was fairly prickly)! Despite its beauty, we will not be returning, and here is why: The hotel advertised having a wine garden, but it wasn’t actually an available amenity. This was a shame because I was really looking forward to enjoying that experience! I was bummed when I got there and discovered it was no longer open. I loved that they offered free breakfast, but it was nothing to write home about. Also, as I stated previously, the breakfast server was not friendly, which made it a bit awkward. The property was right next to another property that has consistent events; loud, late in the night events. So not great for sleeping on those days. Finally, the mineral waters: great in theory, not in practice. The whole hotel operated on the mineral waters: sinks, tubs/showers, pool, laundry, etc. Great! But… it smelled extremely of sulfur. Not so great… everything smelled like rotten eggs. It was very unappealing, and made me feel like I ended up stinking, even if I was clean. Also, the pool was not only eggy smelling, but it wasn’t clean. It was riddled with bugs and debris. So, unfortunately, as beautiful as the property was, we will definitely not be returning.

Great location and nice two bedroom set up. The only negative is the furniture in the living room area; it is very uncomfortable to sit on. Very hard and the back of the sofa is very low. Not conducive to relaxing and watching television after a busy day.
