“We stayed at the Ropemaker for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and its restaurant. We had a lovely king-size bed that was very comfortable. The room had a portable air conditioning unit that kept it very cool, which we appreciated. However, it is noisy at night. The outdoor bar area is super cute and has little cabanas that seat about 4 guests. We'll definitely stay here again.”

“We chose this as a pet-friendly, one night stopover, after a ferry crossing, Santander to Portsmouth. Great, and quirky, little property, well-placed for the ferry port and run by a lovely lady who provides absolutely everything needed for a perfect, short stay. We wish we had discovered it earlier as it closes at the end of this year. Such a shame. We would have returned. Best wishes to our hostess. But thank you for a lovely stay and we were delighted by the local dining choices. ”
