What a great spot and will definitely return again. Once parked, dining was available across the street and downtown! What a wonderful and quiet space.
We had a very nice stay in the Lockwood Folly unit. Clean and comfortable. We never stayed in a tiny house before, had a good experience. You do need to be flexible as accessing the bed could be challenging for some.
Great location next to the Mill & it's breweries. Very clean & quiet. Didn't get a chance to use the fire pit, but happy it was available. Only thing missing was a top sheet on the bed. Water pressure in the shower wasn't great, but to be expected in this type of eco friendly setup.
This was a very beautiful small place tucked in the corner of the town, the tiny house has every inch with function & there are lot of beautiful walking trails and restaurants and breweries.
There js river walk ad well..over all a very cozulu place for a weekend gateway
The tiny houses are awesome. The bed is super comfy! We spent a bunch of time hanging out by the fire pit and in the outdoor areas. Such a fun idea - we loved it!
Had a lovely time! Used the communal fireplace while we had pizza and drinks we got from a few spots just across the street at the Mill and it was great.
It is an interesting and different place to stay. My granddaughter love staying here because she feels like she is staying in a dollhouse. It is clean and well organized. Making the steps to the loft may be challenging to those with physical limitations. The location is in walking distance to many restaurants and microbreweries.
We absolutely loved staying here on our way further North. We wish we could have stay’d more than one night. Surprisingly cozy and quiet. We felt safe and had a lot of options within walking distance for food and drinks. Even though some of the homes are close together, we never heard our neighbors and it was booked solid the night we were there. Check in and out was seamless. We simply loved it.
We stayed in the Neuse.
Very clean and well kept. Wish the wood could have been covered. Disappointing we couldn’t get a fire going due to the wood being damp. Conversation to Mills River.
Easy door access. Adorable, clean, warm and cozy. Loft bed super comfortable. Location of tv was perfect for loft and main floor viewing. Looking forward to staying in a different next time too!!
A holiday decor inside would have been nice. Also, please supply plasticware for eating & wall bath soap would have been nice.
Tiny House was clean, super cool, and accommodates 4. Located near food and adult beverages, it’s an easy walk/drive across the parking lot. Only one suggestion, for the Tiny House, covered entrance. The pouring rain challenged the foyer and keeping the entrance clean/dry. Otherwise, totally great experience.
I finally got my tiny house experience!! And I couldn't have picked a better spot. Everything is as described. I normally bring cleaning supplies to do a little extra when I stay in hotels and things. I brought some here and didn't feel the need to use them! I have 1 tip: the temperature between upstairs and downstairs varies quite a bit, so turn down the heat some before you go to bed. Otherwise, everything was smooth sailing! I loved the easy door lock code and check in/out processes also.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Bring a sleeping bag and manage your expectations. The heat did not work and we slept under our coats. Took pillowcase off to stop the drafts of air. I think I was expecting more of a camp grounds area but it felt like we were situated in someone's backyard who had extra land to run a business. For the most part, it was clean. Shower water drain was slow. Tiny house may have been more comfortable for 1 person than 2 adults (felt cramped)
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at River and Twine. It was cute and clean and very unique. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because, well, it’s so tiny! Accessing the bed is a challenge and with luggage we had difficulty moving around one another on the main floor. That’s the price you pay for a tiny house, I guess. I’m glad we stayed there but might not stay again only because it was a challenge for us to move around.
Very fun and interesting concept! Location near the Cotton Mills Restaurants is outstanding. Two challenges:
1. The upstairs loft is very small - it is a shame the ceiling couldn't be just a bit taller. Even sitting up on edge of bed can be uncomfortable.
2. The Air-conditioning appears to go off overnight and then the upstairs loft becomes very Hot!
Overall would visit again but not that functional for more than a 1 night stay along 95 ... but for that purpose its terrific!... especially with a pet!
