The view was fantastic - getting to the room was challenging due to small staircases. We have been made aware of that (and the noise due to ongoing construction on the property) only after our booking. The location is, however, very nice and close to a public beach, restaurants and shopping.

A wonderful Birthday/Anniversary Stay!

Beautiful location, beautiful view of the ocean! Clean room. everything we needed was provided. Easy check in and out. A wonderful benefit was the opportunity to use the Club room the day we checked out, plus the parking lot. Close to the downtown, an easy walk. Will stay longer next time!

Charming stay

The location could not have been better! Right on the ocean and walking distance to the shops, coffee and food. Cute and quaint. Will def stay again. This was charming. One note, you can hear right through the walls so bring ear plugs.

What a great view from the property and the room. The room is cozy and inviting and it has air conditioning. The design is thoughtful. We spent our time between enjoying the views from our room or going to the beach that literally across the street.

This was a beautiful place to stay for a quiet time and watching the ocean.The shared area was nice. The only thing I didn’t like about it was that the balcony was shared so you would have seen people going and coming all the time.

Wonderful view of the cove and the beach is right across the street. They even have beach chairs and a pack-n-play in the closet. They also have t-shirts for sale in the club house that are reasonably priced and super soft and comfortable. We bought 3 :-) !!!!! The beds were sooooooo comfortable! There’s a mini fridge, microwave, and single cup Keurig for coffee and tea. We enjoyed every minute being there that we booked another night on our way back down the coast. You can’t go wrong choosing this place! It’s also conveniently located about 25-30 minutes to Salem.

1st floor rooms abut a deck that is open to the public during the day. Pics are a bit deceiving. It can get loud in those rooms during the day time. Room 2 has a very squeaky storm door. Room was beautiful though.

This is a lovely place, clean and bright and fresh-looking. Its location is perfect twice over: overlooking the ocean, and a very short walk to Rockport’s Main Street full of charming shops and galleries. Our room was on the top floor, with a great ocean view and private balcony. Just be aware that there’s no elevator, and the second flight of stairs is quite steep. There is a spacious and attractive common area called the Club Room. When we were there, this appeared mostly unused, with just a self-serve coffee counter on offer. As our stay was in October, we’re curious to know if there is more happening on site in high season.

What a wonderful find. Wished I could have stayed longer. With the wide open Atlantic Ocean right in front of you and the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks, I slept like a baby. Great contact from Cove staff about their self check in process made it super easy, but I as a result, I never actually got to meet anyone. Easy walk down the Main Street with many interesting shops and artist studios. Just a few minutes away from the famous Bearskin Neck. My room was super clean, beautifully decorated with ocean color themes, a super comfy king size bed with more pillows than I knew what to do with, and lots of big windows looking out onto a beautiful meadow park with a small brook rolling through to the sea. I never closed as single drape. A framed print on the wall carried the simple inscription, "Let the sea set you free." I loved this place and would return in a heartbeat, if the occasion presents itself.

I was hesitant after reading some of the previous complaints, but booked The Cove on a whim. I absolutely LOVED my stay. It was in a quite, safe neighborhood and we were able to walk anywhere that we needed to go! The view of the beach across the street was wonderful and we loved that we could open the windows and catch the ocean breeze. We felt safe sleeping with the windows open and were never awakened by other guests or traffic noises. Complaints that I reviewed said that they had a difficult time finding the entrance: We walked (2 older women) with ease to the place in the early evening from the train station and found our entrance with ease. Another complaint - this is a self-check in facility. I loved that I didn't have to bother with anyone and the instructions were very easy to follow! I am technically challenged and had NO issues. Unexpected bonus - there is a filtered water refill in the downstairs "club house'. We also had a wonderful selection of simple breakfast come and go items that worked great for grabbing and eating lunch later at a restaurant. We actually appreciated the fact that this was a sleepy town as things do close relatively early. We found it refreshing and enjoyed retiring early so that we were refreshed to walk again in the a.m. The shower was great too! The only con: I thought that there would be a couch that could be made into a bed but it was just a futon.

I was very disappointed to find out that my room did not have a bathroom. I had to go across the hallway, very annoying for what you pay for this room. The headline for this room says “standard room, 1 queen bed, ocean view”. Where it should absolutely say detached bathroom in that header. Very deceiving in my opinion. For what you pay for this room you’re not gonna go searching through fine print to know if the room has a bathroom! Something else to note is that there are no people working on the property that I ever saw. Everything is done through text, which is fine for an Airbnb, but not something I like in a hotel, personally. There also are no keys. You have to use your palm of your hand and then codes which usually takes a few times to work, so just be aware. In fact, in order to use the separated bathroom in the middle of the night you gotta make sure you remember that code to get into the bathroom and A different code to get back into your room. when you’re half asleep that’s not the easiest thing to do. On the positive side, the location is great. You’re across the street from the beach and walking distance into the town. There is a nice club room, but every time I went into it nobody was using it, so it was very quiet, because again, no staff. If you book this property, just make sure you read the fine print or call and ask to find out if your room has a detached bathroom if that’s something that you prefer.

We stayed in the annex in the lower level. The apartment was very clean and well appointed and the location was great. The issue was that we didn’t realize that we had to navigate so many steep stairs until after we booked. This should have been made clear on the website. Don’t expect to see staff around but if there is a question or concern, someone gets back to you quickly.

We got in very late (11:00 pm) so no attendant. Very dark too. The text instructions for finding our room were confusing as we went to the clubhouse, code didn’t work and then went to blue door. But we loved the room and location.
