Not much to like. Light in hallway next to bathroom did not work. No hot water. Telephone did not work. Toilet seat would not stay up. Bed bugs or something in the bed that kept biting me. No breakfast this morning as food truck did not make it to the motel. Worst stay in a motel that I have ever had.

This property is clearly a low end quality inn type property built in the 80s that got a fresh coat of paint and a Holiday Inn Express sign put on it. If you frequent holiday inn express’ then don’t expect the usual. Property is very run down. None of the ice machines worked, you had to ask the front desk staff to get ice for you and they acted like it was a huge bother. Room was clean so that was a plus. Outdoor pool area was ok. Having stayed at several Holiday Inn Express’ across the east coast, this place just didn’t match what I was expecting.

Holiday inn express

Making my reservation was easy with Hotels.com. when I arrived, the staff were there to process me in. The lobby was clean and the restaurant area was clean and inviting. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It had everything I needed including an iron and ironing board.

Weekend stay

This had been our 15 stay here since 2019. Twice this year. The staff is still very friendly. Dog friendly. Great rooms. It's still a great place to stay in the small town of Laurinburg. I just wish I was given ample notice about the increase pet fee.

St. Andrew's freshman drop-off

We were really impressed with out stay. Very nice accomodations. Our room wasn't cleaned the first day, though we did head out after the cleaner had knocked on our door, but she didn't return. Also, we really weren't too impressed with the complimentary dinner. But we were glad that there at least was one. It saved us a few dollars. Overall, we had a very nice experience and we will definitely be coming back.

Dirty Motel

This place was dirty and very unclean. The service was slow and unfriendly. I waited 4hours for clean towels and asked for them 3 times. I was very uncomfortable the entire stay. Sad thing is, all of the “Motels” in the area are about the same.

This unit was obviously the last room to book. There were several issues and not much sleep was had due to the noise and temperature involving the HVAC. I would recommend that the company inspect rooms regularly and address the issues as they arise. This room seemed to be the one with many problems. The bathroom door did not even fully close.

Pros: Front desk staff as well as housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. Cons: The property could use some attention. For instance the wallpaper in the bathroom is affixed to the wall with staples, there were stains on the floor, the couch was worn in places, and the furniture appeared to be in need of an update. The outside of the property is nice with the exception of two large fire ant mounds close to parking. Overall I do not feel this hotel is a good value for the price.
