Perfect for an overnight visit on a road trip with our dog! The bathroom and room was big and newly renovated. The road was pretty noisy so ear plugs are a must.

We were on a road trip in Australia and heading to Cairns. Along the way we stopped here for a night stay. Archer Park is one of best motel that I have ever stayed. Check in and check out was smooth, the room has everything a family needs while traveling. They have provided more than enough amenities. I would definitely recommend this for a short stay.

Very convenient, clean, includes free water bottle per person, rooms have been previously renovated, the bottom ones especially look lovely. Overall, quite nice, on a direct road in and out of Rockhampton for those who require a quick and easy overnight stay. Reception is also open until 8pm, which is handy.

We were given the King Room which was great as we stayed for 4 nights. The location was very good as it was close to shopping & within easy driving distance of friends & relatives we were visiting. Even though the motel was changing hands & staff were reduced, the motel was still cleaned, etc. I would recommend this accommodation to other travellers.

Clean, roomy and friendly reception. However, the roaring traffic noise less than 20m from my door brought my rating from 5 to 3 stars. Travelled with two small dogs. Room was on the bottom floor, set up for pets. Basic and suitable. Shower and toilet area was lovely and clean. Plenty of hot water, good pressure. Smokers are provided however not undercover if hot or raining. Parking was outside the door. Check in was seemless. Our room was closest to the main road which made traffic noise loud during the night.

Had high expectations for this property after reading many of the reviews. It's location is tricky, as it's on a busy road that turns right around the corner along the motel, so you have to be ready to pull into the parking area at the last minute before you go around the corner. The gentleman in the reception office Richard was very kind and very pleasant. We were originally assigned room 7 at the top of the stairs which would have gotten a lot of street noise. When I commented about this, he rearranged things to get us into room 12, which was very quiet. We received a wonderful complimentary breakfast that was delivered to our room, but Richard said that this benefit has been eliminated for future bookings. Motel seemed to be a few blocks from the main action of town, but still only a 5-min drive. So glad we stayed here. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Firstly, their front of house is rude, she openly made racists remarks and complained about my booking agent on the phone saying they 'Couldn't even speak English'. They charged my card without checking/taking my ID or filling out any paperwork or me checking in (whole other story) as I chose to pay on check in . Have zero empathy for personal circumstance (death in the family) and a request to change my booking which I know can be done. They then said I could have a credit for a night but they cannot refund it as the payment came through a booking agent - it didn't. The hotel itself charged my card and I sent them a screen shot to prove it. The rooms are not like the online pictures and the beds are like sleeping in a bowl of jelly. I would not recommend this hotel unless it was a last resort
