“The hotel is in the perfect spot, right in the harbour. The room was massive and well equipped with a lovely view. The building is obviously extremely old which has its limitations on decor etc but we had an amazing time there. Would recommend.”

“The hotel was lovely and the staff were friendly and very helpful suggesting places to visit during our stay. Our room was beautiful, with some lovely touches. We had a coffee maker and yummy biscuits in our room. We also had dry robes in the wardrobe to use at the beach over the road. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious as was dinner. The access to the beach or to the small town from the hotel requires a walk along a narrow uneven path with steep steps or you can walk along the roadside but there is only a pavement for about half of the journey so you end up walking in the road, which is narrow and has blind spots. “Lantern Cottage was exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. The layout and facilities had been very well thought out. The shared courtyard was lovely to sit out in the sun. We were able to store our bikes there too, which we rode on the nearby Camel trail. It was peaceful even though we were almost in the centre of Padstow. There were numerous bars and restaurants nearby all serving delicious food. There is also a Spar shop 1minute walk away handy for last minute supplies....
