The inn is on a stunning piece of property overlooking the ocean with beautiful views both in and out of the inn. The owners of the inn are incredibly kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious!. We loved our room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and well-furnished. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The innkeepers were fabulous -- welcoming, attentive, helpful, great and interesting conversationists. Our stay was exemplary in every way. We dined on-property and our meals was likewise fabulous. The location is wonderful -- awesomely scenic. We regretted we stayed for two days -- three would be allowed more time to explore PEI.

Amazing zen renewal

Absolutely beautiful place. The owners, room and view were very nice. Food was amazing, and the sunrise on the bluff was unquestionably the most beautiful view ive ever seen. The road to the inn was long and muddy. But if you need to relax and recharge you emotional battery this place is it.

We are not normally B&B people but the drone shot sold us on it. Mel and Dave keep their property spotless and are wonderful hosts. We did not eat dinner there but Mel recommended The Boathouse about 15 minutes away. It was awesome. Breakfast was good and afterward we walked along the coastline. Beautiful.

This is a beautiful PEI accommodation, with friendly and helpful hosts, and convenient access to exploring the region. Highly recommend this accommodation, but caution those with mobility challenges as there are a lot of stairs to access the upper level rooms, so this may not be an option, if mobility or stairs are a concern. If traveling outside of summer or peak tourist season, there are limited dining options in the area. Although the host will provide a home cooked dinner with some notice, there are still limitations on this service, and it may not fit all. Complimentary breakfast was provided at this location, and the hosts gave many wonderful choices, and guests could select as many or as few items as wanted to feel satisfied. Everything was delicious and served with great care.

Bottom line, absolutely wonderful hospitality from Mel and Dave, even during a category 4 hurricane! First, this bed and breakfast is situated nearby the red cliffs of PEI, and we were stunned by the beauty visible from our room. Even walking to the front door, beautiful island vistas greeted us. Second, after a VERY long day of travel or adventure, family-style house-made dinners are ready for us every evening, which rivaled any restaurant in town. What a splendid way to end a day! After a restful night listening to the waves crashing against the cliffs, all of the guests could come downstairs to enjoy coffee together and a delicious breakfast (again, family-style, loved it!) to energize you to enjoy the Island! On our second day, Hurricane Fiona hit the Island, with 90mph winds where this inn was located. The building withstood firmly and our hosts, Mel and Dave, made the house a warm and comforting reprieve, even when eating family-style by candlelight! We could not have chosen better and recommend anyone visiting PEI to stay at Johnson Shore Inn.
