Overall, our stay at the RIT inn had some positives, but was overshadowed by significant service and billing issues. On the positive side, the swimming pool was clean and enjoyable, and the on-site restaurant was good with a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the check-in process was extremely frustrating. We booked through Expedia with a deposit already paid for one night and the remaining balance due at arrival. Despite providing our invoice, we were charged for the full stay again at check-in. Staff advised us to pay in full and dispute it with Expedia afterward. Expedia then advised the hotel must resolve the issue, leaving us stuck in the middle with no resolution. In addition, our room key cards stopped working twice during our stay. We were careful not to place them near phones or magnetic sources, and even after receiving new cards and walking directly to the room, they still failed, requiring repeated trips to the front desk. Most disappointing was the lack of assistance from front desk staff and Manager on Duty working the evenings of June 12 and June 13, who showed little interest in helping resolve these issues. We are requesting that a general manager or someone in charge contact us directly regarding the billing error and our overall experience.
