What a great experience. The location was perfect, the breakfast delicious, but most of all the staff was welcoming and seems so happy that we were there. We even got to meet the owner!
Dartmouth is a beautiful old home, gorgeously decorated and yet very comfortable. The room was spacious, clean, great bathtub and comfortable bed. The breakfast was outstanding, as was the service and staff.
We stayed one night. When we arrived, we already received an instruction in messsge on how to access the property. Everything was smooth. The room is clean and comfortable, and the area is quiet and welcoming. The owner provided a very nice French style breakfast. Overall, my stay was very satisfied.
This is a very cute well run B & B in a great part of Rochester. It’s on a quiet residential street but it is near both Park and Monroe Ave where there are a lot of good restaurants.
Very tastefully done and true to the period of the house, it was like walking into the early 20th century, only with 21st century convenience! Very nicely appointed and comfortable!
Excellent host. Friendly, and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing! The house itself is beautiful, warm, and inviting. We really enjoyed are stay here.
The staff was very nice, and the food was good too. Guest rooms have ample space. That building is older than anyone else in this would, believe me since I asked, so you will know if other guests coming late. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
Quiet neighborhood with easy access to pretty much anywhere you want to go in Rochester. Beautiful house with character. The host was friendly and great about communicating and following up. Great breakfast.
Lovely historic house. The Seneca room is spacious with clawfoot tub and shower stall in huge bathroom that takes you back in time. The Seneca room is on third floor and has access to furnished deck which was a great space for relaxation. The rooms all have lake names. The hosts were very gracious and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast.
Dartmouth house was lovely! We have stayed here in past and will continue when visiting Rochester. Linens are luxurious.Home was immaculately clean and breakfast was delicious.Gary and Melina were very welcoming. Thanks so much!
I loved the house. Well restored and full of interesting older furniture pieces. The house was situated on a quiet tree lined street with other older homes.
The host was warm and friendly. If I ever go back to Rochester, this is the place I would stay.
We decided to try something different for our trip to Rochester and booked a BnB. It was a delightful stay in a beautiful Park Ave neighborhood. The BnB is within walking distance of the Park Ave restaurants and lots of fun. The staff was delightful, and helpful. The camaraderie with the staff and other visitors was fantastic! The only complaint was the bath/shower arrangement was awkward, getting in and out of the shower was a bit dicey. More safety rails would be helpful. In any case, we'll be back.
We love the area. The rooms are lovely and the staff is great. This time the WiFi was having problems and that was a real problem. They need to get that fixed. Reliable WiFi is very important.
Darthmouth House is a beautiful old house in a lovely residential neighborhood of Rochester, with big, old trees and lots of flowers. The house has a lot of character as does the neighborhood. I loved walking through these streets. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff so friendly and hospitable. It was fun to get to know some of the other guests in the breakfast room. For an experience of old Rochester, I recommend staying in this charming inn.
Our stay there was very nice. Owners were very nice and friendly. Rooms were clean and stocked nicely. The only issue we had was that the house is not equipped for people that are handicapped. My husband broke his hip a year ago and had trouble navigating the stairs. Our first night there we were on the second floor, the second night we were moved to the third floor. He also could not take a shower because he had to climb into a tub to do so. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay there.
the staff was extremely helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. It is in a large house and each room is its own layout. We were on the top floor suite with an outside porch. the only downside is that meant climbing 2 flights of stairs every time we went up and down. Not a problem since we did not have to shlep our bags up by ourselves, but pay attention as to which floor you are on if climbing stairs is an issue. we would definitely stay there again.
