First, and this was my fault for not reading the fine print, they require a $100 CASH deposit. I don't usually carry cash around so that would have been a huge problem, but I happened to have enough. They refund your cash when you check out which is great except I stood at the front desk for 30 minutes waiting on someone to come so I could get my refund which made me late for the engagement I was going to. There was no breakfast at all. The breakfast room was open but there was no food or drinks. I didn't even find coffee. The facility itself was as expected. It was an old hotel. I wouldn't say it was bad. It was clean enough for what we paid for, and no strong odors. The bathroom sink stopper was stuck and barely drained but that's about all I can complain about.

Well, you get what you pay for here. It's a decent place to crash for a night. Things to like - * Firm spring mattress which was good after a long drive * Quiet location close to the interstate * Not too far from downtown * the microwave works Things to dislike - * Roaches all over, originating from under the bathroom sink * The AC and fridge were off when i got the room, so the room was hot and I couldn't cool my beers * the fridge never got cold enough, even until I checked out * if you don't get a handicap room, you'd have to lug your stuff up a narrow flight of stairs. * breakfast consists of bread (toast), whipped cream and jelly. There's also coffee and apple juice. However, i want sure how fresh any of it was and I just skipped their breakfast. I thought they were out but the manager said that this was it. * moth eaten curtains and bedspread

We checked in really late. The guy at the front desk was nice and did a good job checking us in. However, the room stunk, but we were tired and went straight to bed. When I got up in the morning in and went into the bathroom, I saw the ceiling above the shower was well covered in black mold--could be the source of the stink. I also noticed a good layer of dust on top of the light shades. The fridge did not work well; part of it's top was actually broken off. The corridors were poorly lit and smelled musty as well.

Jamie at the front desk was outstanding! They're lucky to have her. The owner is very kind. Our room was clean and well-maintained. For the price, we were highly satisfied. The only 2 issues we had were the doors that were supposed to only be accessible with room keys were open to all. There are a lot of undesirables but that's to be expected at this type of motel. We needed a last-minute place to sleep while we were in town buying a scooter and this place fit the bill.

Simple Stay

Cheap and was a place to rest. TV channel selection was great. Unfortunately the room smelled a little dust. There was a crack and dip in the bathroom tile. The TV had a line on the screen. Breakfast was minimal. Bed was decent. Wasn’t to bad. Overall a good place to stay for sleep only.

Is this the most up to date facility? No. There's some dust, clearly not a ton of people working there, some concerning signs about deposits at the front desk - but it was clean and I didn't worry about anything and I had a good night's sleep and I'd stay here again if I'm in the area. It's good enough. It's very good enough.

A run-down room that met our low expectations

Room and hotel was run down. Our expectations were low, looking for just a quick cheap space to spend the night…and this met our low expectations. Front desk personnel were friendly. Room was ok, worn out and tired, but mostly clean. Bed was OK quality, clean, and comfortable enough. Wouldn’t recommend staying unless you’re really looking for a low price and willing to overlook quite a few things for the savings.

The receptionist was wonderful. Very polite and helpful. The room was clean. Only issue I had was that it appeared the door had been kicked in before, so top lock didn’t work & there was a large crack in the door making everyone in the hallway very loud. & the knob was broken on the heater/fan. Exactly what you’d expect for $55 I suppose.

The cons: The bedspreads were dirty and in need of washing, and our smoke detector had been removed from the room. Only one electrical outlet that we could find was actually working. The security door that would require guests to badge in and out to access the rooms was left wide open, even at night. My brother had his own separate room, and had much the same experience. The pros: the sheets themselves were clean, and the staff were friendly and good at check-in.

The first room the AC wasn't working. In the second room the AC was new, so the room was quite cool. The bedding had holes in bedspread. The bathroom rack were the towels were located was rusty as hell. And a roach crawled on the microwave. That was the last straw, i check out that night lol. I got the room on a discount and it was cheap. So you pay for what you get. lol I would never stay there again.
