Vacations Close To River Road Sport Complex

Hotel is located in a great location.

A great location for exploring Chicago -- just a block away from Millenium Park and a few minutes from the river. The area was lively without being in the center of an entertainment district. Room was modern and clean, and staff interaction was pleasant. It rained one night and we could hear the raindrops falling on an awning which created a noise that made it seem like water was dripping into a room. Otherwise, we were satisfied with the room. The hotel restaurant felt understaffed at times though the food was great. Expect a wait on weekends (even if there are open tables).

Overall disappointing customer service from the hotel. During our 5 nights stay, our hotel room was only tended to by housekeeping twice. We needed to request new towels by calling the front desk and even when they were delivered while we were out of our room, housekeeping did not attend to our room. While checking out, we were asked by the front desk how our stay was. We mentioned the concern about housekeeping only coming to our room 2/5 days and the front desk supervisor provided us with his card, apologized and said “next time you stay with us we’ll give you a free upgrade”. He then proceeded to say there was nothing more he can do because we booked through Expedia. We always book through Expedia and have never been told this in the past. This hotel is too expensive to be receiving such poor care and customer service with such simple concerns such as house keeping.

Clean room with comfortable beds. Roomy for traveling with another person. Lobby coffee was a bonus! They even loaned us umbrellas on the rainy sightseeing day.
