“The worst thing about the place is that on the website they do not inform that the Hotel is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I found the key in the main door and I see that there is no type of restaurant service or any other type of food.”

“Pool was out of action pool guy was off. Microwave was not working but the worst was the staff going home at night leaving campers without any recourse in an emergency. Our last night there we were the only campers there ( this was end of August) no staff in sight. All gates into the place was left unlocked and some open. Lots of vagrants around. Felt very unsafe, being we were in tents. Will not be visiting again.”

“I liked the idea of glamping but the trailers are so close! Also no real wood is allowed for outdoor fire and “breakfast” is granola! And… saying the river is a 3 min walk is a little misleading- it’s down the street and you have to cross a major highway! It could be improved by separating the trailers- stocking trailers more for cooking”

“The Stavrand is a beautiful property nestled in the redwoods just a few minutes walk from downtown Guerneville. The front desk and dining room staff were friendly and helpful. We brought kayaks, for which we were shown a safe place for storage. My disappointments were: (1) the swimming pool was quite cold, and the jacuzzi was not very hot and had no operative jets, (2) housekeeping did not come clean our room during our 2-night stay, and (3) the room, though lovely, had no real separation of bed...

“I never leave reviews but think people need to be prepared for this place. It doesn’t look like the pictures I saw online. We checked in around 10:30 pm and there was no one there to check us in. We walked in through a back open door and we had to call the number at the front desk looking for someone to let us into our room. A man answered who said he put the “code to our room in an envelope” on the front desk. This did not feel safe to me. The room had no tv and was literally FEET from a...
