For over 15 years, I have been using the Rio Othon Palace 2x-3x per year. It is at a great location with many great restaurants, centrally located, shopping galoreand transportation options abound. The hotel has a great recently renovated rooftop with one of the best views of Rio's Copacabana Beach. The staff is very friendly and carries the typical 'carioca' hospitality. Awesome spot!

We stayed at this hotel in Copacabana, and our experience was a mix of positives and negatives. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and always willing to assist, which we truly appreciated. The lobby area was okay, but the overall condition of the rooms was disappointing. The rooms were poorly cleaned, and the shower was especially frustrating and in need of improvement. The main reason we chose this hotel was the location, and that was definitely the highlight. Being in such a great area made it convenient to enjoy everything Copacabana has to offer. With better attention to cleanliness and room maintenance, this hotel could be a much better experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Rio. I was fortunate enough to stay in one of their renovated rooms near the top floor, and it was incredible. The new soft bed, the room decor was fresh and the VIEW from the balcony was incredible. Breakfast on the first floor was very well displayed, and the staff at the hotel was very welcoming. Can’t forget the rooftop pool and restaurant. Make sure you check it out. I will definitely return.

Everything about this hotel was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. Perfect location. Excellent amenities. Gorgeous pool, views and spacious rooms. Easy access to beach and beach amenities.
