Absolutely wonderful stay, the rooms are very clean and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The staff was very accommodating with the language barriers we had. The restaurant staff was one if the best, especially the young gentleman that served us, he was so helpful and friendly. Wish I could give you more stars! If I ever ome back I will definitely be staying here!

Swimming pool is very small. It is across the road from the beach. The rooms are nicely air conditioned. Staff don’t have much of a personality. They are not bad but not great either. Overall reasonably clean. They have a feet sand washer in the front which is nice when you finish the beach before you get in the hotel. Breakfast is Brazilian continental nothing special but it will get you started for your day. Opens at 6.30am for breakfast. Generally speaking best to have lunch and dinner in a proper restaurant as you will be paying similar prices for better food. For the price you won’t complain as much but don’t expect more than a 3 star even though hotel is a 4 star.

The location was literally across the street from the beach. Very convenient to grab a bite to eat or some very good and strong drinks! Lol. The elevator situation can be a little confusing if you use the wrong one, because they have a dedicated service elevator that will have you stuck if you are not careful. The far left elevator in the lobby smelled just like puppies 🐶🐾. Since this is a dog, friendly hotel, be mindful of the pet aroma. The rooms can use more wall decor, but otherwise it’s good for a short two or three day stay.

Honestly, after reading some of these reviews I was scared to stay here. I can assure you dont listen to them. It was the best experience. The room was great, I got lucky and got a room on the 10th floor for myself and the sea views are spectacular. The staff are great and help where they can. Bar in the lobby and they tend to you and make you feel comfortable if youre drinking there. Breakfast was great one of the best hotel breakfasts ive ever had, probably the best, so many options, never had to eat breakfast outside. The beach was a plus right across the street and they had numerous chair vendors to choose from if you dont want to carry a chair from the hotel to the beach. I would definitely consider staying here again in Barra when I come back to Brazil. Im a barra girlie now!

Regency Hotel is amazing. It is located in front of Barra da Tijuca beach at Posto 7. Close to some restaurants, supermarkets and bars. The staff is very friendly and Polite. The breakfast is amazing and the room is spacious. So, I really recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Barra da Tijuca beach. It totally matched my expectations!!!

Many employees don't really care. I left some jewelry in the safe and called back less than 24 hours after checkout when I realized. They left me waiting on the phone for a long time several times until the phone system terminated the call each time. Finally they told me they did not find anything. I had another disappointing experience when asking the breakfast staff to get another toaster because a 2-slice consumer toaster could not keep up with the guests of 234 rooms. Nobody cared. I give it two stars because, despite best efforts by management not to run the place properly, the location of this hotel is great.

The room small and mold. The ac drips so the floor was wet. The ceiling had water dripping had to change room. The second room wasn’t as moldy the head board was broken. The bathroom sink clogged then the key reader for the door wasn’t working maintenance had to come and repair it. The breakfast was good had good options for pork eaters. I enjoyed the fruits and fresh green juice.
