OVERALL GOOD 2ND FAVORITE

The restaurant reception and the staff in general were great. The only drawback was the cleaning ladies who forgot to stop by some of the days during the week. When they did stop by they were very polite but rushed. When they did stop by to clean they cleaned. This is the reason why I gave it a very good instead of excellent! The gym and pool are great and for the moment the best I've seen in the places that I stayed in Rio.

NICE HOTEL NICE FACILITIES

I really enjoyed my stay here and I am impressed with the swimming pool facilities along with the sauna and steam room. They have a big exercise room or weight room and I think anyone would appreciate that especially since we're talking about within a hotel.

The property is run down. But worse than that, the room we were given was dirty, mold on the floor boards and mildew in the shower. We intended to ask for housekeeping to come and clean it. But after attempting to use the toilet we learnt that there was an issue with flushing. There was no one on site to fix the issue so we were moved to another room. Then - wait for it - when we turned on the sink in the new room, the water leaked out of the pipes all onto the floor. The next morning we booked another hotel and left. We were offered no refund or any other kind of compensation. They said since we booked through Expedia we could not recieve any refund for the nights we did not stay. Save your self the trouble and don’t even consider this place.

I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. Having worked in the airline and travel industry for 20 years I have been around the world and stayed in many different types of properties at many different types of price levels and I loved this property. The front desk staff was absolutely wonderful and helpful - especially Marcelly and her and I were able to communicate well, even with my limited Portuguese - they all tried to communicate with me and accommodate any of my needs. I loved the restaurant connected to the hotel and it’s staff - such speedy, fantastic service and amazing pizza!

Decent but need some improvement.

Front desk staff was superb and friendly. Housekeeping was rude kept knocking on door louder and louder for over 15 minutes after ignoring it and obviously the room was locked from inside, since they tried to opened and couldn’t. One time it was cleaned but only changed the garbage bag, and gave 2 towels. And made a super sloppy bed, almost as messy as I left. Although I left message upon check in with front desk, to please do not disturb or call due to a surgery I had, that I must not be undisturbed. Someone, kept calling and knocking until I got up and disconnected the phone and open the door just to ask the same thing again. Pool looked gross lot of dirt in the water, rooms have no bedskirts with box spring showing, it looked very unfinished and sloppy. Bed was comfortable, clean crispy sheets, but cheap mattress, only 2 shower towels and one face left in bathroom. No coffee maker, or iron in room, no free coffee or water on lobby. Super basic hotel… But safe nice looking, in a good location for the town, specially if you are on foot during daytime…

Gosto muito do Mercure de Nova Iguaçu, sempre bem limpo, confortável, bom atendimento, mas tive duas situações fora do meu habitual que não foram tão boas, precisei passar meu uniforme e fui informada que não havia ferro disponível nos quartos, somente no andar P, até ai tudo bem, ao chegar no local de passar roupa o ferro demorou muito a esquentar não sei se por haver alguma trava de segurança, o fio não chega até o final da tabua alem dela ser pequena e de má qualidade e conservação, como hospede e consumidora fica a sugestão para pelo menos trocar por uma tábua móvel, minha outra situação foi com o café, que ao que parece trocou o fornecedor, as portas ficam totalmente abertas para rua, dando a sensação de insegurança para deixar pertences na mesa (eu estava com as malas porque depois do café, já faria o check out), o queijo estava amargo, o pão doce e o salgado não pareciam frescos, isso que tomei café 06:15, o horario que iniciou praticamente. Foram duas situações que me deixaram um pouco triste porque gosto muito da rede e já fiquei outras vezes no hotel.

Boa opção de hospedagem em Nova Iguacu, ótima localização e boa estrutura. Mas é preciso alguns cuidados para manter o padrão Accor. Cortinas sujas e desgastadas, ar condicionado vazando água, wifi de péssima qualidade, caindo a todo momento. Pelo valor da diária cobrada, precisam ficar atentos a esses detalhes.

Prezados, Gostaria de deixar registrado meu descontentamento com a experiência que tive recentemente no hotel de vocês. Infelizmente, a hospedagem ficou muito aquém do que as imagens e descrições apresentadas no site sugeriam. Desde o início, tive problemas com a limpeza do quarto, que deixou muito a desejar. Além disso, o serviço prestado pela equipe foi bastante insatisfatório, com respostas lentas e falta de atenção às solicitações mais básicas. Considerando o valor cobrado pela diária, eu esperava um padrão de qualidade muito superior. Senti que o custo não se justifica, principalmente diante de tantos pontos negativos.
