This hotel is beautiful, private, moody and has the best views of Ipanema! The rooftop pool alone is worth the price of the hotel. Such stunning views and very comfortable. The rooms are a bit dark and moody on the courtyard side, but the real charm of the hotel is the Ipanema location and the rooftop. Luciana at the front desk was our favorite and she was so kind to us!

Loud electronic music and party’s going on room long and then early when these guests return to the hotel despite calling front desk for help on this. Then got a phone call a midnight for towels delivery I never had asked for. Did not sleep well in Sumatra any night there. Last thing, cleaning personnel left our room door open when they finished till we came back at night. Never again. Got a discount like that would give us the three night without sleeping Back.

Lots of challenges here. The suite had light bulbs out and knobs missing. Also, the hotel doesn’t allow guests - not even family or even during the day.

Not worth the price

Room was solid. Great view of ocean, hotel is in a good location. Beach guys were great getting us organized for a beach day, outside of that the service was lackluster. The front desk always had four people there in blue jackets and the first time someone acknowledged me or asked how my trip was going was when I checked out. Th is place just doesn’t screen 5 star luxury, but the price does. Overall I was disappointed and felt like it was not worth the almost 1,000 usd a night price.

The hotel is beautiful and is in a nice location right across the street from the beach, but not worth the price. The spa amenties weren't as nice as I thought they'd be from looking at services online. The pool is much smaller and more shallow than it looks in pictures. Breakfast isn't included.

This hotel is extremely overpriced for the surrounding area. Several elements did not feel “luxury”, including the tiny rooms, tiny elevators, low ceilings, mediocre pool service. The room itself is not big enough to lay a checked bag on the floor - anywhere. The low ceilings make the environment feel claustrophobic. The elevators are tiny and slow - only fitting 5 people max with everyone breathing down your neck. The slow service delayed getting up to the room. The hallways were almost too dark to see anything. We checked out on a Sunday and the staff were giving us a hard time about a late checkout, despite no one new checking into the room (and my elite Expedia benefits). I just didn’t feel like I was treated with the respect at any other luxury resort. Unless you are willing to upgrade to ocean view room, do not spend the money to stay here.

Bom mas não vale o valor da diária

O Hotel é bom porém não o suficiente para cobrar o valor de diária que cobra. Quartos confortáveis, chuveiro excelente, rooftop espetacular. Água da piscina fria. Atendimento irregular. Comida do Gero minha esposa pediu um Stinco com risoto que estava muito bom. Já um pedido de espetinho de frutos do mar uma vergonha, quatro mini camarões com tomate e vegetais quase 180 reais. Exagerado. Sabonetes e shampoos excelentes no quarto. Boa ducha. travesseiros cheirando algo que lembra enxofre, estranho. Comparando com os outros três hotéis de alto luxo do Rio, não voltaria. Mas valeu para conhecer
