Good location, bad hygiene, dirty toilets, basic shower, thin mattress, rooms need cleaning, cleaning lady puts all your stuff from under your pillow on the bed for everyone to see, but doesn't make your bed
If you are on thin beds, that's your place for sure! I was lucky to stay solo in a nine bed dormitory, but the bed was always about to fall, making a sort of strang sounds everytime I moved. Good thing is that the Hercus is "faraway too close" - faraway from night clubs and pubs noise in the night but close enough to a 2min walk from Arcos da Lapa and it's pubs.
