The staff was just incredibly nice. I cannot say good enough things about them. I travel for business all the time and I have stayed in many different countries and hotels. Marketed as a 4.5 star much closer to a 3 star, room and facilities very basic. Nothing apart from basics provided, king bed turned out to be 2 singles pushed together with 2 small duvets rather than 1 large. Toiletries basic and screwed to the walls, even coffee provided was the cheapest pre mixed with milk powder version.

Enjoyed our stay. Booked adjacent/connecting rooms which was perfect for a family travel. Clean and spacious. Room ceilings light is a rarity in most hotels. Having a towel warmer is a very nice touch. There was a water cooler in the hallway for added convenience. Location is perfect right on the edge of the old town. Train station is 10 min away for any day trips. Breakfast variety was excellent. A few notes on improving the stay even further - add a tissue box, add an extra chair or some ottoman for additional seating space, install soft closing toilet seats, bathtub grout can be refreshed.

The room was very clean and the reception staff were great. Breakfast was solid too for a hotel breakfast. Convenient location to old town and all transportation. Only gripes we had were the AC was pretty weak and the bathroom was outdated. The bathroom got the job done but felt tired. Other than that the hotel was great for our trip. I wish hotels.com allowed half star ratings.

It is an urban hotel, near a busy tram/train and pedestrian avenue, however the windows are not fully sound proof, like other urban accomodations, even with earplugs you will hear the train and tram and people hanging around the avenue, bath shower is slippery can be a hazard for older people, on the good side good location.

Friendly staff, great spa facilities that was included with our room and the room itself had everything needed. It was clean, well equipped and even has a minibar. despite it being -21 over night, the room was warm and comfortable. The location itself is also absolutely ideal for visiting Riga. The airport bus stops it front of it and the entire city is walkable for there.
