“Internet was very slow. Staff, not great. Nobody works during the night. Freezing cold rooms and when trying to put the heaters on, they don't work. You have to sleep with scarves and jackets on. Breakfast is terrible. Bathroom door is made of glass and the bathroom has a window towards the living room, with the blinds on the living room side of the glass. Personnel always makes sure that you know when they are closing or leaving. Pillows are terrible also, and bedding had a humid feel.”

“Sehr schöne Zimmer. Freundlicher Empfang. Sehr sauber! Frühstück wurde im Nebengebäude (Restaurant) angeboten und war völlig ausreichend. Kurzer Fußmarsch in die Altstadt, sehr schöner Weihnachtsmarkt. Wir waren für eine Nacht hier und können das Hôtel uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Vielen Dank ”

“Arriving by train had to ask how to get to hotel as having NO working handy coming from oversees . The access to hotel very steep and a challenge using a walker (rollator), however it was very nice of the receptionist/manager backing down a car to manage the steep hill, although there are 45 steps to use. Later on enjoying a beer/wine in the very quiet lobby using the rocking chairs. To explore Meissen, we used a taxi from hotel - called by staff - to the Dom and from there a sight seeing bus...
