Ideal location and nicely decorated, but had some drawbacks.
On arrival, you make your way through an unlit entrance which opens on to a narrow pathway where you navigate around several large bins. So first impressions weren't great. As other reviewers have mentioned, the path and yard were covered with fallen apples and leaves which made it slippery (we swept up as much as we could). The fact that there was no lighting at all until you reach the main door was odd. We had to makeshift our own doormat inside the house to help keep the hallway clean.
All three bedrooms were ensuite, with two additional bathrooms. But for a home accommodating 6 people it was a surprise that there wasn't a dishwasher, and we found the kitchen underequipped e.g. just a one-cup cafetiere and no large pans or serving dishes. We ended up bringing our own teatowels and a few other items for the week we stayed.
Heating in the brochure stated it was 'underfloor throughout' which wasn't true. Bedroom radiators only came on a couple of hours a day as far as we could tell which left us cold at night. And the heated towel rail never came on at all - so towels remained damp.
Beds were very soft, and uncomfortable.
One key for everyone became an issue. When someone was home others had to phone to be let in, as the first door was far from the house (no doorbell etc).
Overall the house was fine for our purposes and great for the dog. Just a bit unloved.
