Lots of character in this charming building ,over 300 years old . Ok bathroom was very dated but it added charm to the building because of it's age . We stayed at Ty’n Rhyl while on a cycle tour of North Wales. Elvira and David are wonderful hosts. They are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. On arrival we were greeted with a proper cup of tea and freshly baked home-made cake. Dinner was a truly gastronomic experience. Ty’n Rhyl is a very old house; truly living history. Parts date back to the early 17th century. We’d gladly stay again, so highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful, the rooms have so much character, exceptionally comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, lovely and quiet. The best breakfast ever and the three course, Saturday night dinner, deserves a Michelin Star. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay, just what we needed to recharge our batteries. The hosts, Elvira and David are so friendly and welcoming, loved every minute of our stay. Thank you so much, we will be back.

This was a rare find, a small oasis in Rhyl. Lovely C17th buildings and delightful gardens all set back off the road. Every attention was given to detail; the bedroom was plush and comfortable, the food delightful and beautifully presented. Breakfast is served in a pleasant conservatory; a tasteful extension to the old house. I recommend Ty'n Rhyl without reservation. You are guaranteed a warm and pleasant welcome.

Such a stunning hotel, the hostess and host couldn't do enough to make your stay easy and comfortable. We were offered a pot of tea with cheese scones on our arrival. The room was so comfortable and unique. No everyone would appreciate the history and age of this beautiful building decored in the style its meant to be. The breakfast was out of this world never have i had such a variety of fresh fruits, yogurt, friesh croissants and full English cooked to order so very hot. I fully recommend this bed and breakfast hotel. 5 stars

It was an old but lovely building with amazing staff. It was so quiet despite being so close to a main road. I would stay there again quite happily. The breakfast was wonderful, everything done to perfection and the special requests remembered too! If you arent staying here then you're not getting the best treatment!

Lovely room in this charming B&B. A building full of character and original features clearly loved and renovated by the owners. Easy walk (15-20 mins) to the sea front. The hosts were professional, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing - delicious and beautifully presented. Would highly recommend if you are planning a stop in Rhyl.

A gem of a B & B, absolutely superb.

We stayed at this lovely B & B on Friday 24th March 23. The property dates back over 300 years and is decorated, as a property of this nature should be. Our room was large and spotlessly clean and the location was close to the main road, although we could not hear any traffic noise. Our hosts were informative and very friendly and I have to say, breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in any B & B / hotel, I have ever stayed at. I can highly recommend this lovely B & B, for anyone travelling around North wales and the Rhyl area. Thank you so much to the couple who run the B & B, who made us very welcome and made our one night stay so enjoyable. We will be returning sometime later this spring.

Made to feel very unwelcome

We would not recommend staying at the Ty’n Rhyl. My partner and I attempted to check in at 9:30pm and were shocked to find the hotel in complete darkness. It was very unclear where we could park given the entire grounds was in pitch black. I knocked on the front door and the owner answered with a greeting of “I assumed you weren’t coming so I went to bed!”. We instantly felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. We then entered and had very awkward small talk with the owner before being shown our room. The restaurant and bar were not open at 9:30pm on a Saturday night, which we thought was strange. We then asked for local pub recommendations, which the host provided, followed with the remark “well I guess I’ll have to wait up for you then”. This added to the awkwardness. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that didn’t provide a key to the front door - had I known we’d have a curfew, we definitely wouldn’t have booked to stay. We decided to go to the local shop to bring some drinks back and sit in the downstairs foyer. The owner then said “oh well I’m going to have to charge you corkage for that”. We were gobsmacked, especially given the bar was closed in the B&B. We felt so uncomfortable that we grabbed our bags and left, deciding not to stay for the night. The service was terrible, would not recommend anyone booking this for a night in Rhyl.
