Lovely hotel and staff were great. The hotel is super clean and bar/restaurants are well stocked. However I would recommend looking at this sister hotel next door if, like us, you are not traveling with kids as there are no child free areas and it did get quite loud. Even though there is a no reserving sun bed policy it is not enforced but there are plenty of beds to choose from if like us you are not someone who wants to get up early to put your towel on a bed. For us the beds were a little too hard but I think that is more of a preference thing. Overall would recommended to anyone with children!

A great hotel for families. The buffet had a really good selection every day (we stayed for 6 nights) and the hotel has lots to do. They were renovating the indoor playroom during our stay and with that it will be even better.

The cleaniest resort i have seen, to say it's so busy it's spotless. The location is lovely right on the beach and the water park is so much fun for the children. Service is amazing and they really make you smile especially at breakfast. The food caters for all and all the restaurants are amazing! The only thing i would say is upon arrival nothing is really explained to you about how to book the restaurants where anything is, that you only get 3 restaurant booking in a week, the reception staff need more information on how to help clients that haven't been there before. Great stay and would highly recommend

Fantastic stay. Great food, great drinks, amazing buffet, rooms really clean. Great gym, pools and great beach. The only things I’d improve would be around reservations for a large group - we were in a group of 11 and we were initially separated across multiple buildings within the complex, and we were asked to provide menu choices a week in advance for the three à la carte restaurants which were changed multiple times by the hotel and we found we spent days back and forth with the hotel on food choices.

Id like to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service during our recent stay. The entire staff—from reception to the restaurant and housekeeping—was attentive, kind, and friendly.Special thanks to Matthew (the manager) and Gianni for the warm welcome and the room upgrade. I also truly appreciate the excellent service from the bellboys, Filmer and Jose to the restaurant Giovanni and Terrence not to forget Jay and Mike from the housekeeping. Thank you all for making our stay so memorable. My daughters love every moment we look forward to returning! Kind regards Janice Thompson

The hotel was kept very clean and tidy. Good choices of food and great variety. It was such a shame that we couldn’t get full advantage of trying the different cuisine,s as my boyfriend fell ill with a virus on our 2nd day of our holiday. But I would like to thank you Nalia for all her help in trying to make our stay as comfortable as possible under the difficult circumstances. She went above and beyond for us, which I will be forever thankful. I must also extend my thanks Katerina for keeping in touch and checking up on us, making sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It’s such a shame we couldn’t enjoy our stay or full take advantage of the great food on offer. I would however recommend the hotel who has small family as it is perfectly equipped to cater for them.

Had a good stay here, clean and modern property, well maintained. Staff very polite and helpful. Room comfortable and slept well. Plenty of pools around the property, only issue is they were freezing all the time to the point it was at times unpleasant. Food options was ok. Had a few à la carte options but was only entitled to 2 complimentary during our stay. The Greek was lovely but the Italian wasn’t great, dishes lacked flavour. Only issues with food and drink was the constant lines, seemed a lot of people for certain areas and staff struggled to cope with amount of people. This did feel like it took away from the relaxing experience a little.

My partner and I could not be happier with our stay at the Ella Helea hotell. The staff was so nice, the buffet was amazing, and the overall experience was a 10/10. However, it is a «kids hotell» so if you are traveling with your partner like we were, be prepared for alot of kids running around. If you’d prefere a calmer stay, id recommend booking the Ella Elissa Hotel, considering it’s an adults only hotel.

I think the hotel was too overcrowded with people. The power went out every night in our room, and when it came back on, the lights turned on, which woke up our child. The food in the buffet was good. The service from the front desk staff was poor and not particularly welcoming. I think there are better 5-star hotels on the island.

I will start with the pros: Hotel was clean, deluxe sea view room was lovely with the most perfect view. The food was good for an all inclusive. The Filipino and African staff were lovely. There were no sun-bed wars we always managed to get a sun-bed either by pool or beach after 10am. Cons: The food was nice but it was never warm enough. The Greek staff were rude/unfriendly we found this mostly at the Lobby bar and buffet restaurant, the pool bar staff were not rude but also not happy! The entertainment was awful! And timings were bad. After 10pm there is literally nothing! I’ve never seen so many people playing cards at a 5 star hotel. This hotel is mostly catered for families with young children who want early nights. There is nothing much going on in the day, I think there could be more things in main pool the days the DJ played just made the vibe a bit better. The sun-beds on the beach were basic, the adults only had nice cushioned sun beds as did the hotel next door. The adults only also has a drinks service to your bed…both classed as 5 star so to be it should be the same service to both hotels. Did I have a nice stay: yes, would I come back: no. Not 5* in my opinion.

A great resort, I would say it’s more of a 4 star and definitely focused on families. I believe it is too big to maintain a 5 star standard, as it missed the finesse that others show, more because of its struggles to cope with a large number of guests. The location is amazing, close to old town and all the bays. Swim up pool is good, the vent for the sewage was near ours, so you would get a whiff and I noticed some of the other swim up rooms didn’t even get the sun. I could have complained, but the hotel was that full, I couldn’t see what they would be able to do to fix this. The buffet was ok, nothing that stands out though, felt that the a la cartes were just the buffet plated up by someone else. The street food hub was ok but they always got the order wrong, so something to be aware of. A small thing, but how you judge a hotel quite quickly, no welcome drink and checking in felt more like a factory process. So if you are after a true 5 star experience, then maybe not, if you don’t like hearing kids, then maybe not but if you are after a high end 4 star in a great location and you have kids, then yes (if you get a good deal and not 5 star prices).
